That's what I'd do. Last year, if I remember correctly, YES individual enrollment was in Jan/Feb and June-Aug. This year they have added Sept/Oct. I doubt they would add late Nov/Dec, because of it being holiday season, but you never know!

I'm sure it's been posted but does anyone know how long the classes last? I'm trying to plan our day but I don't know what time we'll get out of the class! Thanks.

I'm not sure if they are all the same, but 2 of our kids are doing Synergy of Science and 2 are doing Dynamics of Technology at Epcot on June 14th.
One of them is 7:45am to 10:45am and the other is 8:45am to 11:45am.

For those of you looking for specific dates and age ranges-keep checking back. They added some classes for younger kids in the fall. I called several weeks ago and the CM told me to keep checking the website. Finally one was scheduled for our 8 year old during our DVC stay.

Such a nice program for our son. We are always looking for something new to do. This is a nice alternative to the tours in the parks. Very affordable!

This is dumb - yesterday they had 3 classes listed for 9/30, one was listed as being full, the other 2 not. Here was my message to YES:

Message:
I'm trying to sign my 2 daughters up for the How Things Move class on
9/30

but when i click on the "buy ticket packages" link, the next form
(https://www.studentguest.com/yes/) does not have the 9/30 class listed.

They responded with this:

Thanks for contacting Disney Youth Group Programs. Unfortunately if the
class is not listed the program is full to capacity and is no longer
available. You will want to select another program and program date
that is still of interest to your children.


And now today, all 3 classes are missing from the main page.

Darn .. wish I would have known this sooner as I would have signed both myself and DH up to join DD (age 9.5) for the class at Epcot in August. As it stands, I just registered one of us to attend the class and figured the other would have to wander aimlessly until the class was over. We are staying off-site so will all have to go to the park together.

There's so much to do at Epcot. I don't think he'll have to wander aimlessly, lol. Isn't there anything at all he's interested in that DD isn't? He could see/do it during the time you are attending class. I can tell you that I wish I had a few hours to myself at Epcot.

I went ahead and booked Oct 11th as soon as I knew it was open. While Oct 10th would have fit my week better. I didnt want to risk missing out. I hope to see some of you Oct 11th tho

Forgive me if this question has already been answered. However what happens if you sign up for the class and purchase the tickets and the class is canceled, do you still get the discounted tickets? I was going to sign my son up for Magic of Animation in Oct. but now all the classes they had during our stay are gone.

We could extend our stay by a day and he could take Disney's Captivating Images...which he is interested in also. I just don't want to go through changing our stay only to find out if they cancel we will have to make other ticket arrangements.

If they cancel you tickets are fine i think.If you dont show up they can charge you or void your tickets

I have not received a reply to my question regarding the YES classes for Oct 10. However, they are now no longer listed in the class catalog. I am very disappointed as well as a little embarrassed because I have initiated and planned a trip for 12 people around our children being able to take a class on the 10th. I hope that somehow we can all rearrange our plans to possibly take a class on the 11th.

Just ordered our tickets. DH really wanted the kids to do the Animation class since he and the kids LOVE to draw but it's one day before we get there. We were going to spend close to $1400 on 5 Day PH WP tickets but with the YES program, our tickets came out to $750!!!!!!! You can't beat that. We had the choice of Synergy of Science or Chemistry and I chose Synergy for the kids. Since DH & I will both be there, we get to see the class too. I'm excited!

I told DH we better not sleep late because class is at 8:45 and they will void your tickets if you don't show up. Magic Kingdom is open until 2 AM the night before but we can't stay the whole night! Wonder what happens if you're late?

After those classes were there all of a sudden and then gone just as quick, I started wondering if they weren't HS classes. We are going to the Ocean Discoveries with both kids, Me and DH.
