I signed up 4 kids for the June 22nd class called DIsneys Ocean Discoveries. Where is this class held and how long is it?
Thank you
Sara

The class is taught at Epcot and is approx. 3 hours in length. We are taking the same class in Oct and it starts at 8:30am.

I just bought tickets today for our August trip and I know I entered the arrival and departure dates correctly, but my confirmation says the tickets will be valid until 5-2-11. The dates for the class are listed correctly, though. Do I need to email them for clarification?

Yup. Those tickets won't be valid in August. They messed up. Give them a call.

Same thing happened to me. Taking a class on 06/14, put arrival date as 06/05, and they came printed with "valid 5/28 to 6/2/11". Yeah, not gonna work. Obviously, a misprint.

I called them, they gave me a FedEx number to send them back and then they reprinted them and sent the new ones to me. No problem at all! :thumbsup2

Am I mistaken or did it say you would get confirmation when the class was full?
I thought I read that somewhere.
Our class has been full for a little while now ( I checked the website) but I haven't gotten an email or anything.
Just curious.:)

How is everyone getting their tickets delivered to them? I didn't have that option. I can only pick up my tickets at Will Call.

I was able to have them delivered by FedEx in March. I think I saw earlier in the thread that they have switched it so that you can only pick up at Will Call recently.

This has changed. You can no longer have them shipped. While I like having them on hand because it makes the trip seem more "real":rotfl:, I don't mind the change because I think it will reduce some of the abuse of the program and I want the program to stick around!

I had a very polite prompt reply from the person who designed the registration pages apologizing for the inconvenience and asking the details of the error so he could make sure the problem didn't affect anyone else. I *think* i may have forgotten to change the month of the departure date (should have been 8/25), since the valid through date was exactly a week after 4/25. He said that there should be an error message to catch departure dates that are earlier than arrival dates, though.

BTW, for the PP who asked, no you can't have tickets mailed anymore. You get a barcoded confirmation number and you have to pick up your tickets with ID.

idk...maybe YES Group is hoping having to get oneself to Will Call Window on time, wait on line & produce id will somehow awaken a sense of commitment in those folks who might be inclined to abuse things by not showing up on time for class or even not showing up at all for class they've registered for ? :confused3

It says on the website that if you don't show up, your tickets can be voided. That scares me enough! LOL

How will it help reduce abuse?

Well
1) Someone can't order tickets cancel trip then sell them on Ebay for full ocst
2) Picking them up with ID proves you are the person who ordered them (again keeps you from trading them or selling them)
3) You can't order extra for friends or family arriving at a different time then you

I think adding a note saying if you do not show up for class you will be charged full price of tickets plus a fine if any days were used or if no days were used tickets would be voided and money paid not refunded.

When I spoke to them on the phone, I was told emails go out about a week before class is scheduled....My class isn't 'til August so I don't have first hand experience. I did go back to the site recently and saw that my class is "closed" so I believe that means full....You could try that.:thumbsup2

We just signed up dd(8) for June 15, 2011 for the Synergy in Science class. Has anyone ever done this one?? I have downloaded the student program preparation documents, so that we can get her ready. She will be in the 4th grade next year and I know that science is really heavily taught at her school, so this will get her in the mood in a fun way.

I did get the 3day tickets, so this works out for everyone :goodvibes

I've got 2 girls doing that class, but ours says June 14th. I just checked the site and it's only showing the June 15th class. I wonder if they changed it or if they added a second class the next day. It's odd that I don't see anything at all listed for June 14th. I would think maybe it just didn't show up if it was already full, but I noticed there is a June 17th class that is listed, but says "Registration is closed due to capacity".

I wanted to make sure we'd be able to keep our tickets if our class wasn't filled so I emailed YES and got this answer:
******
Thank you for your email and thank you for your interest in Disney Youth Individual Enrollment Programming.

Regarding cancelling, typically, we would know approximately 2 weeks in advance of your scheduled program. Should we have to cancel for any reason, a special exception would be made and you would be able to keep your youth tickets and not be charged a difference.

Thank you again!

I signed my children up for the 6/27/2011 Synergy in Science program and just read that a class can be canceled if there aren't enough children
enrolled. How soon will we get notice if this happens? Will we have to pay the difference in price for park tickets not using the program?
Thank you.

Ok, trying to decide what to do here. we were planning to do Everyday Chemistry on Oc.t 10th and it's no longer an option so we may do it on the 11th.

My BIG question is if we do the EC on the 11th do we have to use a park ticket day from our ticket to do it or can we just leave right after the program? I ask this as we do not want to explore/spend the day at EPCOT on a day that has EMH(the 11th) and I don't want to waste a park ticket for that day if I don't have too, kwim??
We use Tour Guide Mike and have found that his best days usually work out for us.
It does say that the 4 day starter package includes"One admission per day to any one Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Park for four days and one (1) Disney Youth Education Series program." So does that mean that I can use the 4 days admission on days other than the day we do the program????:confused3

OK...quoting myself here LOL! I called and they said yes you do need to use a park admission ticket to get into the YES program. I'm thinking I'll just have to come up with the extra money and get a 5 day ticket instead of the 4 day and just eat that day:cutie: I was thinking too much in depth about it I guess!

New question. TIA!!!
If our class is on the 11th but we want to go to a park on the 10th we can just show our bar code registration paper at the Will Call of that park to get our park tix. even though it's the day before our class, correct?

You do know that you cannot get into 2 different Parks in one day unless you have Park Hoppers, right?
