I ordered my tickets on March 11th, the processed date says March 25th and then the letter states March 17th. So , they must wait until they have a few orders and ship at the same time.

I just received my tickets today also. I almost did not make it to the door and the Fedex guy was leaving it just inside my storm door.

I also noticed the $30 fee person, but it was not on top of the price listed on the website. I purchased the 8 day Park hopper w/ 8 fun visits and the website listed the price as $208.92. The invoice listed the price as $178.92 + $30 Program fee per person.

Oh ok...so this fee is already added into the price..but just separated on the invoice. These are the tickets I think we will get too. It is only a little more to add the water parks and fun options so we are going to go for it.

I retrieved our tickets/invoice from the fire safe tonite and see that the $10 per person fee was built into the price and not tacked onto the top like several of you mentioned. I was afraid I had done something wrong when registering but I guess not.

The 30 per person fee? I think I may have confused people with my post.. I knew it was built in. I just didn't understand why it was charged for each person when only some were attending the class. I didn't see anyone who said it was tacked on the top though.

Someone might have mentioned this already, but I haven't been on the boards much since we got back from vacation in early February. ... If you are leaving for vacation more than a week prior to your Y.E.S. program, and won't have access to your email, please take the phone number with you and call them to confirm that your program is taking place. You will also need to get the meet-up information.

I called them the Friday before our program (around lunch time), and was told that they didn't know anything about it, and I'd need to leave a message for Ashely. I did. She called me back that evening, 20 minutes before their office closed (we were at the pool so I didn't have my phone with me), and left a message asking me to return her call. She didn't leave any info on my voicemail, other than her phone number and office hours. By the time I got back to our room the office was closed and she was out until Monday morning. Our program was scheduled for Monday morning, so we missed it. (At that point I didn't even know if it was giong to take place or not.) DD was VERY disappointed.

When I got home there was an email. It came about a week prior to our program, but we were already on vacation by then so I didn't get it. For some reason I mistakenly thought they would call me. I don't know why I thought that, but I did. I should have called them sooner. Live and learn, I guess, but I do wish that she would have left some information on my voicemail. :sad1:

Tickets arrived today. YAY!!

Tracey, are you saying that they didn't notify you that your class was cancelled until less than a week before your class?

No, sorry for being so confusing. They notified me that the class would be taking place, and where we were supposed to meet, one week before the class. It was via email though, and we were already at Disney with no email access. When I called the YES office nobody could confirm whether or not the class was taking place, and I was told to leave a message for Ashley, but by the time we were finished playing phone tag it was too late.

I think the rumor is that there are _no_ December dates. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

What about November? We will be there the weekend after Thanksgiving but I'm guessing they won't have any dates available then either.

I think a couple of people mentioned that they had contacted folks from the YES programs and found out that there were no dates planned for November or December.

This may be duplicated info....

I just spoke with Ashley regarding the October classes. I was checking the Disney website every day in anticipation of registration opening. She said registration for the October classes would open sometime late Spring/early Summer. So, I gues I'll drop down to checking every 3rd day instead of every single day for now :)

I called them to ask, and they said there wouldn't be any December dates. I figure I'll keep checking anyways in case someone was wrong, but I'm bummed. My son would have liked it, and I would have liked the cheaper tickets :)

Well, finally did it, booked August 1st, Ocean Discoveries for my kids. I was hesitant because it's non-refundable, but I didn't want to risk being closed out of the class. Hopefully someone will post about their experience in this class before August - I will be interested in hearing about it!

Hi!!

Am I correct (or incorrect) in thinking that I would need to:

1. sign up for individual enrollment in the program
2. find a class that was being held during our travel times
3. Have my kids go to said class

and I would be eligible for the YES program park ticket prices during our stay?

Am I missing anything? I see they have several summer classes and that would be what I would sign up for....and I understand once we buy the tickets and sign up they are non refundable, correct? Does the class have to be at the very start of the trip before you can validate said tickets?

Thanks for any clarification you can give on the process of this progam!!

You have the process right. The tickets are not refundable. They are good from one week prior to your arrival in Orlando to one week after your departure. You can go to parks before and after your class. There is no validating involved before using the tickets.

I'm not new to Dis, but new to the YES program...I have just decided to take DD9 for a just us/mother-daughter short trip in October and would LOVE to enroll her in a YES class...will October be the open enrollment individuals or for groups only?

And does enrolling in YES mean that I need a room only reservation (never done that, only done packages- mostly with DDP.) AND if I get a room only reservation can I use a pin/code if WDW comes out with one for Oct?

Thanks for humoring my ?'s...I am a bit in the dark on how to go about making this happen...:goodvibes, but I'm excited!

My DD8 did this program in Feb. In the past two years we have done 5 of the YES programs. This (ocean discoveries) was a great one. The education team from The Land was top notch. The conservation activities were great. They integrated the Nemo ride and the ocean tanks into the program. We went into two areas that day guests would not normally see an Education room and a private viewing area with a really cool piano.

We also did Synergy in Science this year. Last year we did two at Magic kingdom and one at Animal Kingdom. This year we also did the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom. The content of the YES programs is amazing with the price of $20/ class. The Wild Africa Trek was amazing but at $180/person you really appreciate the value of the YES programs.

If you have any specific question I would be happy to try and answer then.

Has anyone particiapted in the Ocean Discoveries class? If so, can you give a quick review on it? Or not quick- I love anything as detailed as it can be!!!

Any info is highly appreciated!
