I have purchased tickets thru the individual yes program and i also bought tickets for my sister will we all be able to get access into the park or will they only give access to the student and chaperone. Also when my gruop wants to enter the park will they have any trouble getting into the park when they come in with the general public we are a group of 12 with 4 students attending the program.

I have gone ahead and booked for July 20th at Magic Kingdom for the history program but now wonder what will happen.

Also I notice that most people just have the tickets left outsuide I live in a townhome and no storm door so where would they leave them if I am not home.
:sad2:

Planning to arrive Oct. 9th and leave on the 16th!:goodvibes But we are only doing 3-4 park days(w/YES tix.) as we are planning to swim with the manatees in Crystal Springs(got half price tix from half off depot orlando.com) Also hoping to meet my nephew in Clearwater(haven't seen him since he was 2 y.o. and now he's 21!!!):lovestruc

We are going Oct 9th - 14th !!! So we will be there the same week ;) We are only doing 3 park days and MSSSHP Party at Disney and 1 day in Universal for WWOHP.
There are 3 days of classes that week each with several classes I am considering the Bold ones:

Synergy in Science | Individual Enrollment AGES: 6-11 October 10, 2011

Millenium Cultures | Indiividual Enrollment AGES: 9-15 October 11, 2011

Disney's Ocean Discoveries | Individual Enrollment AGES: 8-15 October 11, 2011

Disney's Captivating Moments: Images with Impact | Individual Enrollment AGES: 12-18 October 11, 2011

The American Story | Individual Enrollment AGES: 8-11 October 14, 2011
I will probably put my oldest in the Captivating memories and let Grandma go with her while my husband and I take our 9 yr old and 12 yr old to Ocean Discoveries.

We are planning to do EC on the 10th at EPCOT(my kids will be 12 and 9), as we now plan to avoid EPCOT on the 11th as it will have higher crowds due to extra magic hours and we hate crowds :rotfl:!
Although we may change our plans up a bit now to add 3 days at US/IOA. We've never been there.
We were planning to do them next year but my kids really want to go...but my youngest really wants to go to WDW and I'm pretty sure we can't afford both! I'm just afraid my 4y.o. ds will be bored to death at US/IOA.

You should all be able to get in without a problem. We used ours before and after our class with the general public and never had trouble.

Maybe you could put a sticky note on your door telling Fedex not to leave packages for you. You would have to be willing to drive to Fedex to get them though.

Has anyone done Wild By Nature? What can I expect.
Thanks!

My family really enjoyed this class. We had 2 people who led us and maybe 15 in the whole group. They took us through AK and I learned so much. I don't want to say to much as to give it away. It was maybe 2 hours total but and worth every second. My entire family loved it and can't wait to do another class.

I have watched the U tube Videos, read the website, downloaded the brocures, and the extra material. I was hopeing someone who had attended a some of the classes could tell me what they did first hand.

I don't recall reading any post here of someone's experience attending Everyday Chemistry but I could have missed it, as you can see this thread is now over 100 pages ;-) I do know in this thread posters have written about attending Properties of Motion, Ocean Discoveries, Wild By Nature & World of Physics:Energy & Waves (I had posted on this class), there may be others.

:)

If the class takes place before park opening time only the student & accompanying adult will be allowed to enter the park; everyone else not in the program will have to wait until regular park opening time to get in.

When we attended our class started exactly at park opening time so we went through the turnstiles with visitors who were not attending YES class.

The people you have purchased YES tickets for do not have to enter parks altogether as a group, but for those attending the same class it probably makes sense to meet up by a certain time & go in for the class together.

YES tickets just need to be used by the expiration date, there are no other rules about everyone having to stay together to go to parks so those who have a YES ticket can just go to parks whenever they want. You do not have to stay together to go to parks or even go to the same park(s); it is not required to keep the family/group together just because you purchased these tickets for them.

Hope this helped some :)

Thanks for the help, I also wanted to know how strict are they in the immediate family rule.

I have bought tickets for my sister and her son. I also have 3 other people in my grop who would like to attend but they have 1 child and 2 adults. but the parents are comman law what proof would they want or do they even ask??

:confused3

Technically, it is just for immediate family of the child in the class, so parents, siblings and grandparents. Someone did ask directly. If they hadn't posted, I would consider aunts, uncles and cousins immediate family, but evidently Disney does not.

For the group of three, if the child is in the YES program, mom and dad could get tickets; they don't care if they are married.

Not exactly sure what you mean by attending for the 3 other people...do they want their child to attend class as well?, then they can sign the child up for Individual Enrollment & one adult can attend class with that child but all 3 would be allowed to purchase YES park tickets. Disney isn't going to ask for proof of marriage, etc. I don't know if you will be able to add these 3 to your ticket order if their child isn't attending YES class because it is supposed to be limited to purchasing tickets for immediate family members, which as far as I know they consider that to be you, your spouse or SO & kids and grandparents. It is probably best to call YES office and ask, they are very helpful answering any questions.

Good luck :goodvibes

ETA - whoops sorry Marcia (Torin's Mom) you and I must have been posting reply to Ayshimama at the very same time :)

Does anybody know, Which rides they will go on How Things Move? Thanks

It was a couple of years ago bur I remember going on Pooh/ Dumbo...on Dumbo they made sure each child had an adult with them in the ride car because of the young age of the children. We were the first on rhe ride in the AM as we were in the park before official openning. I think we did TTA as well. We covered the various rides that use different methods to move. Air/magnets/ track. We skipped Small world because it was down but that would have been water. Our leader did say they do change rides based on the schedule and wait times.

This was amazingly helpful. I really appreciate the detailed message.

Thanks to all that replied to my questions.
:flower3
So I have bought all 15 tickets

We have 4 families so I registered the 5 yr olds into the How things move class on July 20th and the girls aged 10, 9, 9 into history class on the same day.
:thumbsup2

Is anyone else going on July 20th.

I`m hoping that the class fills up so that it is not cancelled. I have not been charged so I have my fingers crossed. Both of the classes still show open. If they only let 20 or so students per class I am quite surprised that there is still space.

I'd love to hear about How Things Move as well! 3 of my kiddos will be doing that class in July. :goodvibes

Hi my sister`s son and my friends son are going to be doing this class when are you registered for they will be there July 20th. I will also be there but with the girls in the history class at 7:15 in the morning. That is early.:cloud9:

I doubt the class will get canceled. Too many people trying to save money. Even if it gets canceled, you get to keep your tickets, or at least that's what I was told.

What happened if we miss the class because we woke up late. We're not early persons :)
The class that we plan to register start at 8:15 am.
The class is going to happen on the last day of our vacation. If we are late, can we still catch up the group? Can we still use our park ticket that day?

Thanks so much...I really appreciate all answers.
