Here's the email I got from YES yesterday:

"Hi Alice,

I am so glad you are excited! I wish I had more information to share with about our 2012 dates, but we are still finalizing our 2011 fall programs. Typically we launch summer 2012 in March. However, I will do my best to answer the questions below for you.

1. The current cost of the 8 day park hopper for 2011 trips is $190.82 per person. This price will likely change in 2012, so please plan accordingly for the expected increase.

2. The tickets are available for participating youth and their immediate family. Yes, you and your husband would also purchase the tickets and attend the YES Programs as chaperones. Only one adult may attend the program per youth participant.

3. Once the 2012 registration site is available (around March) you will be required to register online and your ticket purchase is the final step of your registration.

4. You will have the opportunity to view all the classes available during your dates of travel prior to purchasing yoru tickets. Once you select a program you are required to attend to utilize the ticket. Although, very few of our programs cancel due to lack of registration, we do have a solution for those that do. We do require a minimum of 10 participants to run a program. If we have to cancel a program due to lack of registration, we will contact you 2 to 3 weeks prior to the program date. We will provide other options in programming for your child. If your child does not meet the age requirements for another program during your travel dates, you have the option to receive a refund or travel and utilize the ticket with no program.

I hope that this information is helpful and we look forward to having your family participate in our educational program!

Have a Magical Day!

Disney's Individual Enrollment Team"

Thank you, thank you, thank you Alice! This email gives me hope!!!!!

You're welcome.

As you might have guessed, I was asking about programs for early August, with 8 day parkhoppers (but no Waterparks; we're staying at the Beach Club!)

Ok, now I feel silly, so the 2012 dates are not out yet, and that's why I can't fine them!

Thanks for the information. I appreciate it! :thumbsup2

What the PP was saying was that if Individual Enrollment isn't offered, then groups are the only option. And, historically individual classes are not offered in March, April, May, November and December. YES has told a few people that classes will *not* be offered in November and December this year. Doesn't mean that they can't change their minds, but it does make it a bad idea to bank on classes being offered then.

We, too, are planning a November trip and I thought I remembered reading somewhere recently (on this thread? on another board? I"ve read so much about Disney I have no idea ) that it's possible November 2011 dates for Individual Enrollment would be released mid-summer.

I got impatient waiting, so I emailed YES.....and add me to the list of people who have been told No..."Thank you for your email. Due to park attendance and other events happening at the parks in November and December, we are unable to offer Individual Enrollment during these months. We have added you to our email list and as new dates are announced for 2012 you will be one of the first to know. Have a Magical Day!"

OK, so here's how I'm leaving it for now.

I've already booked a package, and the insurance is non-refundable. That's $140.

As per my travel agent's suggestion, I'm leaving everything as is for now-- our trip is still 13 months away.

I'll start haunting the YES site after New Years. When next summer's prices come out, I'll re-evaluate. If Disney offers some sort of a deal or PIN or whatever in the meantime, we'll run those numbers.

OK, at least I have a plan in place. Either way, I'll pay less than the price I was quoted at first.

Now I can start thinking of ADRS :)

Good Plan! You know what your price will be with AAA. So at this point you can sit back and watch for other deals as well. If a 30 or 40 percent off deluxe (room only) code comes out like last year you will have even more savings! It's looks like it's win/win for you at this point:)

I'm getting a bit stressed now. I called the YES program about not getting the final email confirmation (class is two weeks from now). She said that the emails were sent out at 2:00 yesterday. I told her I didn't get the email. She didn't take my name or confirmation number and actually was a bit flip with me. She said she would look at it again and see if the mass emails went out as scheduled. By 10:00 last night, I had not gotten an email, so I emailed her with all the information and my confirmation number. Today, no email in response. I have called and left a voice mail but haven't heard anything. Those of you who have gone through the program, did you all get your last email confirmation? If you didn't, did you worry about it or do anything about it?

OH MY GOSH!!! I finally go through to Amanda. I gave told her everything and gave her my last name. She says, no one by that name is registered for the July 11 physics class! :scared1: She puts me on hold, and I am about to have a heart attack. She comes back and says her information only had a "Karen" registered...no last name??? :confused3 We still don't know why the email (which was correct) never came through to me. She sent it again and sent it to an alternate (my school work email). Amanda assures me all is fine. Whew...........that's a relief!! :woohoo:

Glad you got it figured out! We never got our confirmation for my dd's animation class on 6/23. I got one for my ds's 6/22 class on 6/10, the day we left for our vacation. I didn't even think about it until the day of his class. I did call and leave a message to make sure my dd was enrolled, but never heard back. I sent my dh and dd to the class the next day armed with our original confirmation paperwork. He said everything was fine. Not sure why we didn't get her confirmation, but I'm glad I didn't freak out about it too much.

I have a 17 year old and a 22 year old are they able to do the program?

17 year old, yes, 22 year old, no. I believe the ages are 5-18. You could have the 22 year old go to the class as an adult to accompany the 17 year old.

I have been lurking for a while now. I just read that disney doesn't offer individual classes in May. (What a shame?) Have they offer the classes in early June like the first or second wk in June? I have two kids that will love to take a class but I have a three yr old. What do other parents do to the kids that can't attend the class? Will it be okay for the younger ones to be in the back with the parent?

That was me! I was told they would be opening classes for November in mid-July. Typical Disney. If you talk to a different person, you get a different story every time.

We had to split up. The day my ds did his class, he and I went and dh stayed back at the resort with the girls. Then the next day dd1 and dh went to the class and I stayed with the younger 3. There weren't any younger children in the classes with us, so I'm not sure if they allow them or not.

We attended a Friday June 17th YES Class at Magic Kindgom this year.
I don't recall the earliest date in June.

I think June 15th was the earliest class this summer.

So....there's still a little bit of hope then??

I have Disney-information-overload and just want to finish booking the darn trip already! I seriously need to stop :surfweb: and go back to doing productive non-Disney-related things :rotfl2:

Oh, well, I guess it won't hurt to wait a few more weeks.

We will do that since some of the classes start early.

I think June 15th was the earliest class this summer.

We were originally signed up for a June 14th class at Epcot, but ended up switching to a June 15th class that was added later because it worked much better for our itinerary.

It's hard to tell, because when the classes fill up, they often remove them from the website. So I don't remember if there were other dates in June earlier than the 14th.

The earliest one listed now is June 15. That one, and everything else in June, July and August, is closed. I assumed they were all there b/c of that, but I stand corrected if that is the case.
