My family of 5 just signed up through the open enrollment for the Disney YES program. Not only is it a fantastic behind the scenes program for kids & adults but with it, you get great ticket discounts (e.g. a 5-day park hopper costs $157).

We have enrolled in the Ocean Discoveries program on 1/25/10 @ 8:30 AM. There are 5 of us. The minimum for a program is 10. So if anyone else is going to be there and is looking for a great program AND inexpensive tickets, join us!

Do they do these in the summer? I would love to get in on this with DS15 for our visit!

I read on the FAQ's page that there are only 1 chaperone at the YES price per 5 children.

They prefer only one parent attend the classes. Otherwise, it gets too crowded. When we went in Sept., we didn't even attend with the kids. We did stay in the Living Seas area, just in case.

FYI,Both parents are eligible to buy discount tickets for the parks, if that is your question.

when you sign up, you buy the tickets, noting how many people need tix,and how many are kid and how many adults,so each person pays for the class, and it is noted.
it is only in January so far for this program, it's new-we're signed up for the animation magic program next month

Does your child go to class all day? This is the first I've heard of this program and the ticket prices are fantastic. We would gladly do this in April if it were offered. Do we just keep checking back or call Disney?

Do you have to pay regular prices if one member of your family is under 6 and can't do the YES program?

My two kids are doing the Properties of Motion class at MK on Jan 25, anyone else doing this class?

Can someone give me more information on this? We have friends with kids going down soon and they would be interested in this. Does the ticket price include the cost of the YES program or is that extra? If so how much does the program cost?
And can you purchase tickets for everyone in the party even if they are not doing the program?

Did they change it? In the fall, the YES classes were $25 extra. The park tickets included the lecture only.

Never mind I just checked the site and they did change the pricing to include a class during the open enrollment. That is good. Hopefully the classes will all fill up this time.

I emailed Sarah, the YES open enrollment coordinator and she said the class that I am in does have the minimum required number of people.

I emailed Disney. The response I received was that open enrollment was in January and September only. This program is geared towards students who are homeschooled although I believe any student is welcome during those two months. Boo Hoo. I thought it was a great opportunity.

I emailed Sarah, the YES open enrollment coordinator and she said the class that I am in does have the minimum required number of people.
Where did you find the correct email address, if you don't mind my asking? TIA

DD 7 is signed up for the Synergy in Science class at 12:45 on January 25. :goodvibes

My family of 4 will be going Nov. 24 - Dec. 4th and we need 6 more kiddos to join us. If you are planning to be in Disney that week, we would love to have you so we can all jump in on the GREAT YES Deal that Disney offers!
