Disney Y.E.S. Program

I do see when they are offered. Normally we attach to a group in November that goes. However, this year that group has decided to go in December instead and we can't do those dates.

I just was curious if anyone had another idea for us, maybe another group going then we can attach ourselves to or something.

Dawn

You cant do individual enrollment?

I just checked my receipt for our YES tickets. It says they can be picked up on the date of the program in October. But we are arriving a few days before then and need to use them for our park entrances. Do I need to call and get the pick up date changed?

I am wondering the same thing. Does anyone have an answer to this?

Thanks!

I actually just spoke to Dave at the YES program yesterday to add additional days on to our tickets. I also asked him about when we can pick up our tickets. He said they actually want people pick up your tickets before the day of your class. Our tickets will be ready for pick up the day we put as our arrival date. What did you put in as your date of arrival? that is when you should be able to pick them up. If you are unsure, call them and verify :)

You can pick up the tickets whatever day you put as your arrival day.

My DH and DD13 are taking the class on the 23rd. There are two age classes, though, and we are in the older one. My dd is so excited and I think DH will love it too. He loves to draw and both of them do the animation sketching class numerous times at DHS on each trip.

we are in the younger class, it does seem fun and I think my girls will love it. My older DD and DH will be hitting all the rides without us. I wish this was an afternoon class, but hey you can't have it all:goodvibes

I just received our confirmation from YES for the 8/14 Wild By Nature class. My DD (10) and I can't wait!

What info are you getting in these confirmations right before your class? Anything different than what was in the original confirmations when you registered? Anything that needs to be printed?

Our classes are a week into our Disney stay and we're leaving home even earlier because we are driving and visiting family. It seems like people have been getting their confirmation two weeks or less before the class date which for us will likely be during our trip.

The first line of the confirmation says:
"Please bring this confirmation with you to your program and present it to your facilitator for program check-in."

The rest of the confirmation is reiterating what was stated in the original email you received when you signed up for the program --participant's name, time, meeting place, etc.

Does anybody know if you need to actually print the confirmation? Or, could you show it to them on your smartphone?

If I purchase tickets for my son who will be doing the program and my husband who will be his parent chaperone, can I add tickets for myself and my other two kids later, or does the transaction have to be all at once?

Thanks

FWIW, when we went last year I had the printed confirmation with me for the class, but they never looked at it, they just asked our names and checked us off of a list. However, I did need to show my printed confirmation at guest services when I picked up my park tickets. I'm not sure if guest services would be ok with looking at the smart phone or not, but I wouldn't worry to much about the actual class day itself.

All of the information and sign up materials indicate that you would need to do this all at once. However, people have had success by calling the YES program directly and having changes made as long as it was long enough (perhaps 2 weeks) before their class. It seems like the YES program is making exceptions to make these changes, so while you are probably able to add more tickets later, there is no guarantee of this.

Good luck,
Gina

Thanks, this was what I wanted to know.

We likely won't get the email confirmation until during our trip, so I will have no way to print anything. I do already have my original confirmation printed to bring with me when I pick up the tickets.

I would think having our IDs would be good enough to get into the class.

Your original confirmation should be fine to pick up the tickets. There was a phone number on the final confirmation to call if you could not make the class last minute.

This is that information:

"On the day of the scheduled program, if an arrival delay or emergency is encountered, please call to advise us of your situation. Please only contact the phone numbers between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Depending on where your program is located, contact the manager/coordinator at the appropriate number listed below:

Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Epcot Programs: 321-231-8938
For the How Things Move program at Magic Kingdom: Each student 6 years old and under are required to be accompanied by an adult.
For Captivating Moments Program- it is necessary for each student to bring a digital camera for use during the program. Spare batteries are also recommended. The students will be asked to take pictures during a number of their activities during the program.
YES Program at The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion at Epcot: 407-560-7692 or 321-263-6365
Please note, during the program, there will be no opportunity to touch dolphins, manatees, or sharks.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: 321-231-3053".

I just received my confirmation for our August 14 class :cheer2:

But, I'm now a bit concerned about this paragraph:

Tickets must be picked up prior to your program start date, as our ticket windows are not open prior to the program start times. Please plan your ticket pick-up accordingly. Tickets may be picked up at any Walt Disney World theme park ticket window with your ticket confirmation (including bar code and/or CP confirmation #).

We don't arrive until the evening before.....and have no plans to go to a park that day before. The original confirmation I got (that has the bar code they refer to) specifically lists DTD Guest Services as a pick up location....and that was our plan to get the tickets have dinner at RFC but NOT to go to a "theme park ticket window".

Anyone have any problems getting their tickets at DTD Guest Services? Anyone know what time DTD Guest Services closes on a Monday night?

You can pick them up at DTD. We went to the window beside Disney Quest. I imagine they stay open late because people also buy tickets for DQ there and they stay open late.

Hi,

Does anyone know when the tickets/classes for August of this year were released? Planning on August of 2013. Want to make sure I know when I to look to enroll!

Thanks!
