Disney Y.E.S. Program

Question about picking up the tickets: do we need to have the credit card we used for payment with us? DH isn't going on this trip, and the rewards credit card I was going to use is in his name. :confused3

Just booked 9/25 Wild by Nature for DD (12), DD (9) and DS (7). So excited!

For those of you that have called to make changes to your Yes tickets, what number did you call?

I have to make a very small change, I called Yes and they gave me a number for a "conventionplus" place. I called that number and got an answering machine.

I also sent an email and haven't had a reply yet.

No, you do not need the card. However, the chaperone attending the class must be there in person to pick up the tickets and have a Photo ID and the confirmation #. This information is on my YES confirmation email.

Great! Thank you! :goodvibes

Are you the primary adult on the registration? I think only the primary adult listed can pick up the tickets WITH a photo ID. I don't think you need the credit card.

Yes, I'm the only adult. Only DD and I are going this time around. :goodvibes

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Just booked our tickets! My dd's will be at the Capitivating Images and Synergy in Science programs on 10/2. I'll be sending the deposit on our rental house today, too. I can't believe it's finally official. I need to go update my ticker & sig, and buy some travel insurance!

My DD will be taking the 10/2 Captivating Moments class as well!

We are booked for that class too! I have DS (12), DS (7) and DD (6). Oh, but the two youngest will be 7 and 8 by then. We are excited. They are counting down the days!

Awesome! PM me if you want to share your daughter's name/age so they can be on the lookout for each other. :)

My dates just opened up for June again! Missed out the first time my dates were avaliable. I have been checking everyday to see if by chance they would have more classes and today was my lucky day. My son is going to the Chemistry class. So excited just saved my family over $700.00

Thanks for posting!!!:thumbsup2 I just checked my dates for Aug. and the class we wanted opened too!:yay: In fact it looks like they opened most of the Aug. classes that were previously filled.

Just got our Wild by Nature tickets for October! It's official, we are going back to Disney  It's for our 20th anniversary (we honeymooned there!)

DD 9 loves all things animals so this is a perfect class for her! Thanks for the help and tips about the YES program.

My son is taking the Everyday Chemistry class. I see on the class description that test track is part of this class. I wonder what they will do since test track will be closed.

Has anyone done the homeschool days instead of the YES?(we did Wild By Nature last Oct. and loved it) I can't find any info. on it for this year on the disboards?

Anyway if we have 1 child who homeschools and 2 who don't can we all participate in the homeschool days? Also what proof do we bring to show we homeschool?

We did Homeschool days last October and will be going again this year. Personally, I don't like the actual presentation for Homeschoolers that you have to take because of the fact everyone in the family is allowed in, your homeschooler, your toddler, your baby, etc. It was so disturbing and hard to focus for me as an adult, I can only imagine how hard it was for the kids who have focusing problems (my DD has an auditory processing disorder and has to really listen intently). This year it is later in the month, October 25th and it is taking place in AK and ties into the Chimpanzee movie this year. Here's info: http://www.disneyyouth.com/home-school-days/wdw/presentation-on-primates?id=44437

ETA: We also add in a few Y.E.S. classes. This year there is only 2 we are doing, last year it was 3 plus the Homeschool presentation. :)

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2

I was wondering how it would go with all ages there. :confused3 My kids loved the Wild By Nature class last year but due to their ages it looks like there aren't any YES classes open the week we'll be there that they could do together, so if we choose to add them then we'd have to split up the family for 2 of our days and we'll only have 4 park days(no hopper) due to finances.
Looks like we may just have to do homeschool days and I'll explain to them it will be different then the YES class.
Is the homeschool thing kind of like a hour presentation and everyone sits and listens or????

I didn't notice many young kids at the presentation in Jan and it was a really enjoyable experience all around. I'm half hoping to pull another trip together for the Oct homeschool days, though I suspect my husband might string me up if I try... These YES events are addictive! We were there for Homeschool Days in January for the Ridley Pearson presentation, and we'll be there for the Girl Scout evening in May, but I'd still like to catch the Oct event as well. Unfortunately the class DD wants to take next is already full for that week so it'll have to wait for some other time.

That's great to hear! What do I need to bring along with me to show that I homeschool?
