Disney Y.E.S. Program

We will be at DTD, Saturday, June 2nd. Our tickets are valid starting Sunday, June 3rd. Would they let us pick them up a day early?
If not, we would pick them up at the TTC on Sunday since we are going to MK that day.
What time does the TTC open?
TIA:)
Amy

I was wondering the same thing.

What did you put in as your arrival date when you signed up for the class? Because your tickets should be valid from your arrival date until 7 days after your departure date. I think I put our arrival date a day or two prior to our expected arrival date just in case we somehow end up getting there earlier. (We're driving.) I would just call them and let them know that you're going to be there a day earlier than you thought and ask if you can pick up the tickets earlier. Not sure if you're wanting to just pick them up a day early or if you're also wanting to use them a day early. I would think picking them up a day earlier wouldn't be a problem. But using them a day earlier, you need to ask about that since they will have the dates printed on them.

I put in our arrival date as June 3rd since that was when our original check in date was. We decided to fly and now will be staying on site June 2nd.
I would like to pick them up a day early - not use them since we won't be getting until late afternoon.

Thanks. We were leaning toward taking the bus, but I just wasn't sure how frequently the early busses make their rounds. I guess we will just get to the bus stop super early.

Both of our classes say "MK turnstiles" as the meeting point.

I actually had wondered about this as well, especially for the class that DH is doing with older DD. MK turnstiles right at a 9am opening seems like a crowded and fairly vague location. I'm assuming there will be a CM with a sign or something. I know I had seen classes in the past that said "flagpole" or something specific.

We did a class at MK last summer and I was worried about it too but you can't miss them-they wear polo shirts with the yes logo's on them(I think they were purple)and there was alot of them-some people were to check in with and get name tags and then there were the instructors. You will see them right after you enter the turnstiles waiting there for everyone.

Great! Thanks for the info.
I figured it wouldn't be too hard to find, but then the Dis-crazy planning paranoia starts to take over. :upsidedow

I wonder why they have different meeting places for the same classes?
DD is doing the same class torinsmom mentioned, but the July class meets at the TTC and the Aug meets at the turnstiles.

I know! I was stressing out that I wouldn't know where to go and I would miss it and my park tix would be voided:lmao:Then on top of that we were taking the momorail from the Poly and it took forever for it to come and I thought we were going to miss the class. Then we go to get in and our tix didn't work because when they printed them they put valid from the date we were leaving instead of coming. We had to go to guest service window and have them reprinted with the right date-but it all worked out and we made it:thumbsup2

Why don't you just call and see if you can change your arrival date? I'm sure they'd be fine with it.

So wishing they'd add dates for Nov.

Im wishing for the same thing!! We will be there 11/2 - 11/12. Took the Wild by Nature class last August and everyone loved it so much. After planning everything out for this return trip dd & ds (actually dh even moreso :rotfl2:) are disappointed that they cant do another class more than they are excited to stay at the Poly:headache:

Does anyone know if the classes for individual enrollment are offered year round and its just a waiting game to when they open more classes beyond 10/31 or are they only offered seasonally?:confused3

Oh, we were looking forward to taking our granddaughter to a class. We will be there Dec 29-Jan 5. I hope they do classes for that week. We have been looking and she has 2 picked out that she would like. She (and I) will be disappointed if they don't have them when we are there.

I'm hoping for the same...but in another post I started, asking about January, last year it wasn't offered until AFTER the marathon...so for 2013 you are looking after Jan 13.

I know of 1 or 2 othr families. We are sending ds5 to the 6/18 'How Things Move' Class. Anyone else signed up for the class?

Don't hold your breath. They have never offered classes at that time of year before. I really doubt they will this year. I'd keep an eye on the schedule and count it as a big Christmas gift if there are classes during your trip. Don't PLAN for it though, because you will probably be disappointed. ;)

ETA: I wanted to add, they've never offered classes during that week before, that *I* know of. Maybe someone else will know if they EVER have. I know they haven't in recent years.

Just our luck that there probably won't be any classes for our times. Not much seems to be working out for this trip. Allegiant is offering cheaper fairs, but only on Thursday and Sundays. Our trip is Saturday to Saturday. Well, I am not complaining too much because no matter what I WILL BE IN DISNEY!!!! and that is all that matters. Thank you for the information. I will keep watching just in case. Maybe I will even look for a place to email the program to find out for sure.

:thumbsup2 Keep checking! You never know! It seems that just when we think we KNOW what Disney will do, they surprise us.

I just thought I would let you all know that I was able to call and add an adult to our tickets. I had purchased a class/ticket for my nephew. My sister was originally just going to use her travel agent benefit to get a ticket, but then she noticed her id would be expiring right before her trip, and was afraid of a gap with getting her new one. So I actually sent an email and explained that we needed one more ticket and the gentleman added it, no questions asked. We were within the child/adult ratio of course.

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck adding a day to their ticket package? We have enough tickets so we thought...but now we need to get into MK early on our MNSSHP night in order to get into Pirate's League before they close. (This is based on 2010 and 2011 PL hours ending at 3:30 on party days). So, what are my chances of being able to add one day to our tickets? Is there a number I should call, or even an email address that would be appropriate for this type of question?

I signed my DD age 12 up for June 12 YES Chemisty class at Epcot and DS8 for the Synergy in Science class on June 13. It's now going to be just me and the two kids. They are both not the right ages to be in each other's class. It's now going to be just me and the 2 kids. I know I have to be there as they are not 13 yet. Will they allow me to have the other child along? Not as a participant, but if they were with me playing their DS or keeping themselves entertained? My DS8 is definately too young to leave alone even for a few hours so I need him with me. DD I would be ok with at the condo we are staying at with specific instructions she has to stay in the condo. Thanks for your help!
