Disney World Resorts - SOLD OUT???

THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! To all that posted!!

I have GREAT news - I was able to get them a room at the ASMusic resort for $74.44 per night (includes tax) for a total of $223.32!!

I really thought I wasn't going to be able to get anything but with your words of encouragement I was able to.

We are actually going to be on vacation doing land / sea / land from October 31 - November 10. I can't believe how busy it is going to be during that time of the year - that is probably going to be the peak season when they reevalute their seasons.

Thanks again to all of you for your help - kudos to you all!!

Lisa

When I called to help get my friends a room for the first week of Nov they told me nothing was available at any of the resorts except for some concierge rooms.

I asked her how that could be and she told me it was because of the closing of the CBR and SOG. She said the CBR holds so many people compared to the Deluxe resorts and so all of those people that would have stayed there are overflowing into the other resorts.

So it may not be overcrowded as you think. It may just be that space it really limited. The CM suggested that my friends wait till the first week of December instead. She said it was wide open at that time?;)

We went last year the week after Thanksgiving and it was a breeze!! Loved every minute of it!!;)

Good luck

Thats really suprising since we just booked those dates for a Canadian money at par deal, rooms were available at value and at deluxe for this deal.

I would keep trying.

I just typed those dates in on expedia and got POR up...almost at the last page so they are towards the end. The rate came up as $85.00 a nite and when I said to book it, it showed availability and gave me a total. Seems like expedia might still have some rooms available.

Also tried ASSp and got availability and went through the process right up until it was ready to charge my card and once again...it showed rooms available for $65/nite.

So if anyone is looking for rooms, you might want to check expedia...just keep going to next page until the Disney hotels come up. The rates don't show up automatically like the other hotels, you need to click on "rates and avialibility" to see if anything shows up. Good luck to those who are trying to get reservations.

Does anyone know if Thanksgiving week is also booked solid? We're hoping to be able to stay that week if we have our finances in order. I never even considered that it might be full!!!

I bet that's it.

Not all the people from NJ, I'll be there 12/2 - 12/11.....

Disnee Dad Says.............................Courtyard by Marriott is nice enough, stayed there last year. I would not use the transportation if you can help it. Not like WDW busses. They run every half hour, exactly every half hour, and makes a few stops at some other hotels on Hotel Circle. It did work great when we missed the EPCOT bus, and a minute later the MK bus showed up. We got on, thinking take the monorail to EPCOT. It's a food and wine and wine and wine thing, best to let someone else drive! By the time we got to the Grovsner ( very nice place, stayed 1997), we caught up to the EPCOT bus, and switched busses!

FYI: as parents of three children and from nj, the reason we go this week every year is not only are the kids off for the two day teacher convention week (7th and 8th), but they also have off the 5th for election day (we have all the polls at our school) and they are also off on monday (11th) veteran's day!! this makes for a great 8 to 9 day stay in disney at value season rates, one of the least crowded times for disney and with the kids only missing 2 days of school!! just thought i'd let all the non jersey residents know why there is always 3/4 of our state in disney this week!!
the other secret is book in january for a variety of choices of on property resorts if you want to go in november!
:p

Yes, NJ school are closed 11/7 & 11/8. I can never understand why so many people go down this week when its only a 4 day weekend. Unless they take the kids out of school the whole week. I have lived in Jersey my whole life and have never taken a family vacation that week.

i too live in NJ and i never went at this time i love going in oct. the weather is always nice (nock on wood) but i think as my kids get older and school becomes a bigger priority to them i might consider teacher convention week

As for the CMs advise to try the first week in December, yeah well . . . . .
I just tried for the weekend of Dec. 6 - 8 (can you say pin event?) and was told nothing was available at ANY moderate or deluxe. I ended up at the Dolphin but even then couldn't get a standard room, had to pay for a lake view. I'm okay with this, of couse, but what the heck is going on with these rooms?

DU has standard rooms at the Dolphin available 12/6-8. Did you try them?
