I read on one of the threads(SORRY senior moment I forgot which one) about a computer software called Disney World Explorer. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what it's all about and I know that it hasn't been updated but will it work if you have Windows XP?

The Walt Disney World Explorer is basically like an online CD-Rom tour of WDW. It gives a brief description of each of the attractions in each of the parks as well as a tour of the resorts and Wide World of Sports. It does work on XP however the version I have (2nd Edition) is outdated as it still has Horizons and the Original JIYI. Is this the latesest version they have or is there a newer one?

I had called a computer chain thats in my area and they told me that is was discontinued. Thats also what I had heard on this board. Do you think it is worth getting because I found the second edition on Amazon.com .

I think it is because it still shows a majority of what's still there plus a look at attractions that we'll never see again. Plus if your having trouble deciding what resort to stay it it'll give you a decent description of them. You can still purchase them at WDW I believe for 30 bucks. I say go for it.

I've seen several of the 2nd edition cds available on ebay for around $20 with shipping.

I bought my WDW Explorer at Best Buy about two weeks ago in a two pack for $9.99. It came with The D Show, which is an interactive trivia game about Disney. It was in the area where they have older software at low prices.

Softwareoutlet.com has the second addition for $12.99. I just sent away for it this week. I also got the 1st addition last year for $4.99. They have a lot of good deals on that site. I use them all the time.

I have the Walt Disney World Explorer 1998 adn it is outdated. I would still recommend buying it though. It still has a lot to offer. I just wish they would come out with a new version :(
