Disney Wonder - Sept 30 2010 3 Night Bahamas

That would have been me, 2 days after I booked! lol

OMG their teacher this morning "when are you guys going to Florida again" Leo "Florida!? you mean Disney" I gave a look to the teacher and said no we are going to BURLINGTON :rotfl:

Now I am wandering WHY are we keeping it a secret :lmao:

I made little words cards to play go fish, that spell out "Today after breakfest we are going to Disney"

maybe we will tell them before... But I am not telling them about the cruise :goodvibes

I would have said "well, we are THINKING about next year, but not sure yet" glaring a whole through her. :rotfl2:

Well, it seems like Victoria has caught the insomnia bug as well. I never knew it was contagious. She didnt go to sleep until 12:30. I have never been so exhausted getting ready for a vacation in all my life.

Same here, I'm soooo tired and I don't get to sleep in once before we leave or even on vacation for that matter...

Oh gosh. I didnt think about that. We are loosing an hour and I know I am going to be up until midnight with you chatterboxes. ugh! There is a coffee place on board right?? :rolleyes1

OK freaking out now. (What else is new?) it says we will have thundershowers at Nassau all week next week. Do you think they will avert the ship due to thunderstorms or just hurricanes?

It would be only hurricanes. Although I'm not positive...but thunderstorms are NOTHING out of the norm on a tropical island. When we went to Sandals on Nassau about 5 yrs ago and in May, we had thunder storms over half the time we were there. Don't worry, we will still have fun. But if they do have to steer clear of that island for some reason, they make take us to another, or they may just make it a day at sea. But the Nassau port is huge, the only way we wouldn't go is for a hurricane. Pretty positive about that. Missing Castaway Cay on the other hand...just think good thoughts.

OK seriously. I am not trying to find something bad to happen, but I found this on the weather channel.

"A tropical wave in the southeastern Caribbean continues to produce heavy showers over the Antilles. This disturbance may become a tropical depression later today or tomorrow. Over the next few days, the wave will move west at 10 to 15 mph. "

Would this make us go somewhere else?

10-15 MPH is nothing. Would you stop looking already?!?!?!!?

Jen, quit looking at the weather! First of all, most of the time if you get a thunderstorm, it's going to move fast and 30 min to an hour later, it's over! Very rarely do you get all day thunderstorms. And, that tropical wave will be gone. Find a local channel not the weather channel... they're always different and most of the time the local forecasts are more accurate.

I dont know how to find a local forecast channel for Nassau.

I keep telling Dave the same thing :lmao: he gives me regular update on every tropical storm.

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a good week! For those of you that are leaving within the next couple days have a safe trip down there and have tons of fun! I still have another week before I get there. I put together all my FE gifts today but I still have so much to do. I'm off work Fri and Sunday so I'm hoping I can get everything done in those 2 days because that's the only free time I have. Ugh and I've been fighting this awful cold for the past week and a half. I'm glad I got sick now though rather than on the trip. I guess there is always a positive! :goodvibes

Hmm I do have a question though. I think Rebekah you were the one who brought up the pillowcase/photo matt thing. I bought some cute color sharpies and a photo matt I want the characters to sign. I think I read that you leave it at guest services. Is this true? Any info you could give me on this would be awesome!

Anyway hope you all are having a great night. You guys all packed and everything yet? 8 days till we set sail!!!! :woohoo:

Yes when you get on board, go and drop it off in a baggie at Guest Services and they will get them to sign it and they will drop it off in your room the last day (right?)

I would put a note in it. I am doing some pillowcases for my niece and daughter and I put my name and cabin number on it. They say to include some sort of treat for the signers like candy or something.

And, are you guaranteeing that?

Yes drop it off at Guest services, they will have you fill out a little thing with which characters you want to sign it, and then they deliver it to your room on the last night. ALSO , very very VERY important...since you are doing a photo matte - make sure you put arrows of which way you want the characters to sign, and also make sure you tape off around the edges, otherwise the characters sign all the way to the edge then when you put it in a frame, the beginnings of their names are hidden. Just tape a smidge, whatever the frame would take off, I didn't do this last time, and thought ohhh it won't happen, but it did...so make sure you arrow which direction you want the signatures based on horizontally or vertically, and tape around the edges!! :thumbsup2
