Disney Wonder - Sept 30 2010 3 Night Bahamas

They do have an iron and board in the laundry room. I have used them, not bad. They don't like them in the room as think of them as a fire hazard.

ok that makes sense then. I couldnt believe that they would have that many people with that much clothes and no iron :) Thanks!

So, I was surfing the boards, and came across a thread on "must haves" when taking a cruise... I went thru and made a list, and thought I'd share in case anyone was interested... Here you go...

1. Gallon Ziploc bags – helps save keepsake items/helps pack damp clothes/etc
2. Small light-up travel clock - if you want to see time if you wake up in the middle of the night
3. Hair dryer - they have in some rooms/not a strong one though
4. Over door Shoe Organizer – use to store items instead of clutter counters/also prevents items from sliding off counters
5. Small can Lysol
6. Wrinkle free spray – if you don’t want to be wrinkled
7. Tide Wipes/Shout pen
8. Highlighter
9. White erase board
10. Outlet strip to for charging phones/ipods/games
11. Plastic cup (especially if you are bringing on your own beverages)
12. A sheet of preprinted address labels – saves you from having to write out the luggage tags for departure/and can use if you mail items
13. Sunscreen
14. Camera/Charger/Extra memory card
15. Travel size first aid kit/meds
16. Candy/snacks for the shows/movies (those aren’t free on the ship, and are pricey)

17. let not forget you need clorox wipes if you have a verenda :lmao:

Good Morning everyone, you have been busy this morning.Who in the tar-nation gets up this early on a Saturday?

I have to say, I have a social hubby... He'd talk to the wall if it would talk back. I tend to be the quiet one until I know you.
I don't think you'll have a chance to be quiet long. You will get to know us pretty fast.:rotfl:

If everyone wants them, I'll try to do them for us... Just let me know.
I do I do...thank you for the nice gesture.:cutie:

Sorry, I don't know if want me to help pack... I'd start throwing things away.

Once again... I do. I do. I promise to close my eyes and bury my head.:thumbsup2

Jen--to the post I think you must have deleted, I'm in!

Me toooooo!!

Downy Wrinkle Free spray... I haven't used it, but have friends that have, and they say it works. Just spray on the garment and shake it out... Mixed reviews on the irons... sometimes cruises have them in the rooms, some don't.

I have used it and it's great!!! Aresol wrinkle releasers are not as good, Downy trigger spray is the best. You want to make sure not to "drown" your garment. It's best to have a hanger, after spraying it pull on the area with wrinkles or smooth them with your hands but do not wear it until the stuff drys or it will dry your "wearing wrinkles" into the garment.... In a hurry... spray, pull and tug, hairdryer. ;)

Well, I think most of us can behave, BUT can YOU and REBEKAH control yourselves is the question??? :rotfl2:

What??? Who??? Me??? I'm very well behaved, I don't know what you guys are talking about...:snooty:

Yeah, that is sorta how I pack too, I'm like yeah haven't used this in awhile, see ya. I'm sending my mom home with a ton of stuff!!! LOL

Well, they KNOW me. It's Rebekah we have to worry about! :scared1:

Who is this Rebekah girl?? Should I be scared too?? :rolleyes1

Yes you will def need clorox wipes for your Verannnddaaaahhhhh Jen. HAHAH!! Good one Marianne!

Oh yes, I use Downey Wrinkle Release, here is one thing you need to know, you need to do this long before you plan on wearing it if it is REALLY wrinkled, because otherwise you have to spray quite a bit on it, and then it'll be wet. So if it is just a tad wrinkled you are fine...

Everyone should also bring Dramamine or Bonnine, or the ear patch... just in case, I bring them because I HAVE to cause I get sooo motion sick, but some people say ohhhh I never get motion sick, then once that boat starts a rocking, they need those pills and are like crap!

Also another really nice thing that we always do is bring gifts for your room steward and dining room servers. While they get tips, it's not really that much, and it is always nice to give them something extra for doing such a good job. We usually just bring them a little bag of candy, some people do calling cards since their families usually live in another country. Oh and also, if you are doing the pillowcase, or photo matte for characters to sign, bring your own sharpees and bring candy for those characters!

Okay I think that is all my info...time to get ready for work. Only 4 days of work till we move! Crazy!!!

well I brought up the suitcases and I started putting some clothes aside :goodvibes

we will be gone for 10 day (9 nights) that is alot of clothes.... :laundy: I may have to do laundry at WDW before the cruise.

+ costumes
+ FE stuff
+ Dinner outfits for the cruise
+ the bleach

5 people, yikes I think I have to buy another suitcase!!!

I have 2 big ones, I think they are too big now with all the regulations and we always tend to go over the weight limit with those...

Is that a new place at WDW???

The shoe organizer over the back of the door is great - the bathroom counters are so tiny. I got mine in the dollar section at Target last year & will re-use this year.

Since it's my birthday I went and visited the happiest place on earth today (I am spoiled living so close)! I warned Mickey that we were a comin' to join him on the cruise so he better be ready!!!

You know. That sounds like what it was like when Opryland was still opened here. I know it doesnt really compare to Disney Land but I remember going there on a whim. I do miss Opryland :sad1:

You are so lucky to live close by, I'm so jealous :snooty: :rotfl:

Did you wear the Bday pin ?

Did you happen to run into Britney Spears with her little ones? She was there today too!! Apparently they closed the Dunbo ride so she and her kids could ride it alone

Are you kidding?? I've never heard of them closing an entire ride for a person, that's bull!!! And for Britney, come on now!!! Oh well, we've only seen Jamie Lee Curtis there, we didn't talk to her, as she was with family and I think you should leave celebs alone when they are having family time, especially there. Oh and we saw some guy from Big Brother there like 3 yrs ago, but I wouldn't really count him as a celeb. I always wonder how many have been there, who we've just walked right by, cause honestly...I don't pay attention at all. My bro is the one who pointed out Jamie Lee Curtis, I would have never even paid attention... Guess I'm too much in my Disney zone!

Did we get the cabin # for Webmiester? or did I just miss it? names?? I was starting to write out my labels and didn't have them!

I did find the original post from Marianne w/ all names/cabin#.

thanks!!

Hello, I was going to make my labels and realized not everyone's names are posted. So, I wanted to ask if anyone minded in giving their names, or childrens names so I can put it on their FE gift?

thanks!:goodvibes

Also, did we get the cabin # for Webmiester? or did I just miss it?

You have me right? Hey does the state fit? That might help me remember some of who is who especially since we have a lori from NY and a Lori from TX. Nobody else is from the great state of Illinois.:sad2:

Hi Jackie-- yes I have you and your DH on the list.:thumbsup2

Are we doing name tags? That would make it easier in the begining- putting a face to name.:lmao:

I'm sorry it was Stephanie who said she would do the name tags... I just read your post wrong.

Are we putting name tags on the gifts? If so I'm screwed. Each room is just going to have to fight over my gifts. lol I'm not sure I'm putting anything on my gifts... just shoving them in the little pockets. ;)
