Here's a description of the movie Invincible from Yahoo:

When the coach of Vince Papale's beloved hometown football team hosted an unprecedented open tryout, the public consensus was that it was a waste of time--no one good enough to play professional football was going to be found this way. Certainly no one like Papale--a down-on-his-luck, 30 year-old, substitute teacher and part-time bartender who never even played college football. But against these odds, Papale made the team and soon found himself living every fan's fantasy--moving from his cheap seats in the upper deck to standing on the field as a professional football player.

So.. my mom is an associate at Pennys.. and they got 35% off the other day so I went in hunt of some fancy dress shoes for the bank (that I could charge to my pennys card- only one with credit ;) )

And I got these amazingly comfortable shoes.. True Sprit by Easy Spirit. I love them.
I have wide feet and these things are perfect, perfect.

Just thought i'd share!

I think I got sun poisoning this weekend. :guilty: My upper back itches. I was stupid and decided to not wear sunscreen the FIRST time being out in the sun for awhile... :sad2: I know that's the most important time to put it on...but I decided I wanted to get more sun so I would tan faster. :sad2: Bad decision I know...and now I am paying for it. :guilty: I hope it clears up in time for the cruise...

uh-oh. get well soon!

haha this is so true! the first cruise i ever went on was rainy one day. so i went and watched pearl harbor. it was the first i saw it. i took tissues cause i heard things (that turned out to be wrong) and i took my dad along. at the end of the movie he says come along blubber-face :rotfl:

i want to go see pirates tonight. i'm going through withdrawl. my mom says we can watch it on the cruise. my response, i want to watch it now! 5 days is too long! :rotfl2:

and if logan tries to blame anything on me, i didn't do it! :lmao:

i told her that means she has to stay in the stateroom and can't go in the sun cause she'll die if she's in the sun anymore :rotfl2:

i have to watch roger rabbit (love that movie!) either tonight or tomorrow i'm thinking. or maybe on the plane. i never realized before that when he goes to that cartoon club he says 'walt sent me'. i mean i've heard it before but it never really clicked. just like when you're little and the guy says harvey is sitting next to him. i never understood that joke until i watched harvey in high school :lmao:

First off.... whatever you two are up to, I don't like it already! :rotfl2:

DH almost went to see Pirates again this past Saturday night when the kids were at a party but I displayed self control so I could wait and see it on the ship. pirate:

Well, goodnight everyone. Tomorrow is my day off and I'm officially worn out and sleepy (I'm even yawning!) so tomorrow I am sleeping until I wake up! No alarms.

Dawn, how goes the sewing? I got everything cut out except for Michael's jacket which I guess I forgot to buy fabric for.. haha. Mom got my skirt and mine and michael's shirts done. Vest started. I have a feeling we're going to be coming minus something or my limited sewing skills will be enlisted on the trip for sewing on some buttons and such.. We'll see. I'm so not good at sewing so if I were doing this alone, I'd of already given up..
Everyone else.. please don't laugh at our silly costumes!

I think I might try to convince Michael to come give out candy for BK with me on Mall-O-Ween in these costumes. I've gotten to do it the past two years and I am begging to do it again this year. So much fun to sit in the food court and get paid to pass out candy to all the cute little kids!
We could be Pirates of The Burger King and wear crowns and tell the kids we stole all of Burger King's treasure.. or something. Haha..

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.. goodnight!

It's going well, actually. I'm following the pattern, but I'm jumping around--for example, I'm doing steps 1-9 at the same time I'm doing steps 15-17--so I didn't realize until today how close I am to finished. I might even have time to sew the trim down the front before we go! :thumbsup2 (Hubby says, "But I thought you were going to make functional buttonholes!" I say, "Fine, you can have the next jacket, this one's mine." He doesn't talk much anymore.)

Wow, your Mom is a fast sewer. I can't sit at that machine for more than an hour without paying for it. Tell her to come finish my stuff too!

So, who thinks they are going to be last to leave the thread? :hourglass

Didn't we ask that? Kerry thinks that it will be her, because she's leaving from her parents' home, which is pretty close to the port. I think. :teeth:

I am not worried about the hurricane or tropical storm- but is it going to rain when we are at Castaway Cay? This is our second cruise. On the first we were not even able to go to Castaway Cay - But I guess a rainy day on the cruise ship is better than a sunny day at work

Best Regards
Maleficent, Esq.

Well, of course there's no way for me to be sure, and I'm certainly nowhere near a qualified weather forecaster. But if you're worried about Ernesto, then he should be long gone by the time we hit Castaway Cay. According to Intellicast, Ernest should be heading into Canada when our cruise leaves. Knock on wood!
