So...we're all wondering around our neck of the woods, if school will actually start on Tuesday as planned. Chris is due to hit us some time Sun/Mon which means they might actually cancel the first day of school. Wouldn't THAT be something?!?

i always loved when school was closed for a hurricane! my senior year of high school we got out of school for one. and my senior year of college we got out of school for one. but sadly not practice. well we got out of morning workout. we all ran around screaming that we loved isabell

Speaking of hurricanes..
Welll.. my parents took off to some Spa in Virginia ((the homestead or something??)) two days after I got my license.. left me with my mom's car to get to work and class and then two hurricanes hit back to back and SWAMPED us with rain.. actually ended up flooding the town across the river for weeks (there are still stores that haven't rebuilt because of insurance problems).. you couldn't even get on the bridge, the water was soooo high...
sooo... I was petrified.. I'd never even driven in rain, much less so much rain I couldn't see in front of me..

We did Discovery Cove. Let me start off by saying it is beautiful! Now the bad part-it is very expensive especially for the amount of time you are with the dolphins. The dolphin part only last 1/2 hour. It was interesting but disappointing! Holding on to the dolphin while he rides you back is neat-very powerful creatures. I think another reason we were disappointed-we did a manatee swim first-which was excellent. We were in the water with 6 manatees for 2 hours and I think after that nothing compared.

See, that's what I don't understand. Why does it cost more with dolphins? We're considering not doing the dolphins b/c of cost reasons. I think the bolded part Vicki wrote is just awesome.

As I was not feeling well the few days prior, I did not do as much as normally.

We went and had a nice buffet dinner at the Tropicana Casino ,gambled a little,and walked on the beach. I did draw a giant heart in sand with our names on it ... I already know what I am doing next year.. a giant 10' diameter balloon saying happy anniversary filled with helium tethered to my lawn. I found out too late this year to do it.
