:rotfl: I have never done it but I have heard it works great and the electrolysis is really good too.

I know we've talked about it before, but I just don't feel like shaving on vacation.I hate carring things that my kids can really injure themselves with.

Just wax right before you leave. You don't want to shave and go into the ocean anyways. Ouch!

They are $22.00 on their own site so don't go too high.

did your auction close? thanks for the warning.

She must still be over there. They also have a spot where you can put in your zip code and find the nearest store to get away from shipping cost.

LOL I wasn't going to say anything, but I guess I'll commiserate. I've been having foot problems for years, and they finally figured out last year that it was plantar fasciitis. I'm finally able to walk about as much as normal people :rotfl: but I can't wear normal shoes. My feet are too wide--2E. I searched high and low for nice shoes to wear on the cruise, because my old dress shoes, while very nice, are excruciatingly painful to me if I have to stand in them for more than a few minutes. (And they're flats, too.) I went to DSW (a fancy shoe store) and asked the sales girl if they had any wide shoes. She looked at me like I had a second head! She informed me that most shoe manufacturers don't make wide widths anymore because most people can fit in normal shoes and they don't want to spend the money making extra sizes if they don't have to! :furious:

I'm just not willing to suffer for fancy shoes. I went to the "medical" shoe supply store (the one my podiatrist referred me to) and bought a pair of cute Mary Jane-style shoes. They might not be the height of fashion, but I ****like**** them, and they are super comfortable. I'm also going to boycott nylons. :headache: If men can wear socks, I'm going to strike a blow for equal rights and wear socks, too. Of course, I want frilly little lace ankle socks....so I guess that's not too liberated.... :teeth:

Dawn
I am trying to get caught up and am MANY PAGES behind. You have been BUSY for a Saturday! :)

But, I am striking a blow for dressy shoes and voting for COMFORT. :thumbsup2 I had the same diagnosis as DAWN and TALK ABOUT PAIN--I will take surgical recovery over plantar fasciitis any day!

My podiatrist said to find shoes in the right width and with SOFT soles. I found some Mary Jane style shoes with a wedgie heel that I could and do walk in all over downtown Indy :cool1: DANSCO is the brand. EXPENSIVE but WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT. A little powder in the shoe and I can go barefoot in them. They go well with nylons or (with long skirts) knee highs.
He also approved TEVAS and but NOT Dr. Sholls sandals--the wooden sole is TOO HARD.
He is big on NEW BALANCE sneakers as THEY COME IN WIDTHS also but stressed I should buy soft soled ones, like cross trainers or walkers NOT tennis shoes as they have HARD soles. He said to try them on and walk in them a lot in the store to be sure the sole is squishy.

SO--bottom line--no dressy shoes on this cruise for me--I may only bring two pair of tevas and no sneakers even--black tevas for dinner and multi color black-blue-purple for day and pirate night pirate: .

I have. It hurts, but it's over pretty quickly and it is wonderful not to have to shave. Sadly, mine grew back in 2 weeks even though they said I would be good for a month. Stupid metabolism.
