Nassau today. I stay on the ship. Breakfast at Beach Blanket Buffet. Everything good but the coffee and grits. Coffee too weak, grits too watery.
Finish breakfast and off to the pool. Spend the morning in the pool and at the side reading. Go in and change around noon and go to Triton's for lunch. Had a Reuben Snadwich which was very good and key lime pie which I didn't eat after the first bite. Not tart enough for this Floridian.
2pm appointment for my aromatherapy massage and facial. Heaven! My knots in my shoulders are gone! I am floating. Facial is terrific as is the foot massage. Can't do steam room or sauna due to diabetes. I feel great. The spa is not to be missed!
While I was having my massage Jim got off the ship and walked around for a bit just to say he set foot in the Bahamas
Triton's for dinner tonight so I put on one of my fancier outfits. Black dress slacks and a fancy blouse. Angela is in a knockout red dress! Of course the gals outshine the men. Food is terrific and since my blood sugar has been low all day I can have Cherries Jubilee for dessert. Had escargot for the appetizer and steak for the main course.
Didn't do the movie since it is not captioned. I don't do well with the assistive listening devices since they amplify all the sound track and not just the voice. Much prefer captioning. Hit the computer and read my email and write a few emails back. Angela is doing the same. The two of us seem to hit the internet cafe at the same times every night of the cruise.
About 9:30 I go up top for the Party and Fireworks. Kids are doing the hula hoop and having a blast. Then we get dancing and I try for a bit until my hip starts to hurt. Then I sit by the rail to the pool area and watch. All of a sudden it starts to pour and people start jumpingover the rail to cover. I move to the area by the port side whic turns out perfect for watching the fireworks. The castmembers leading the dancing continue in the rain but the characters head inside out of the rain. Rain stops just in time for the fireworks. They are beautiful. WOW!. That over I head to my cabin to sleep.
