Ok, I posted a few days back about how our 10 yr anniversary is coming up ths fall and I wanted to take ths kids to WDW with us(ages 2,4 and 7), and I got some great responses, but now I'm in another boat and need some advice.
At first DH seemed ok with the idea but now the more we talk about it the more DH emphasizes that he wants to go somewhere ALONE.I totally understand his point of view,we haven't been somewhere just the two of us in 5 years, and it is our 10 year anniversary. He says theres nothing wrong with being selfish for this one occasion.

The problem is I just can't find any where else I'm interested in going besides Disney.I dont want to be riddled with guilt and not enjoy myself though.

We were planning on upgrading to our annual passes when we go and I was thinking of trying to plan another trip for next Jan and thought maybe I wouldnt feel so guilty knowing they'd be going soon too.I just dont know:confused: , Im afraid everytime I'd see a little girl in a princess dress I'll want to cry.
Any advice is or experiences with this is appreciated..

If being in Disney will be too hard for you without your little ones, you probably won't enjoy your quiet time with DH. Have you looked into some more islandic getaways like Sandals? Or maybe a cruise? I am also one that loves Disney and doesn't ever think of going anywhere else, but I have been on a cruise once and while I wasn't a huge fan of the ship time, I loved some of the islands. The ship docked at St. Thomas and we took a water shuttle to St. John's Trunk Bay....absolutely gorgeous. We also docked in Aruba and we had a blast. We went out on some watercrafts...my cousin and his wife went parasailing.

If you can't get away from Disney, try to do somethings there that you have never done with your kids. Stay in a different resort, dine at romantic restaurants, see the other things Disney has to offer. We saw Cirque de Soleil on our honeymoon and it was pretty cool.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll find something that will make you both happy.

I say go without kids an do things you can't enjoy with them as young as the kids are I'm sure there many attractions you an DH have not do together because of kids. Doesn't free dining inclued very early Oct as well but it's not open to public yet I don't think if it opens to public schedule trip for free dining an ENJOY some free meals with DH that you wouldn't get to enjoy with the kids.

Food an Wine festival is also in Oct you could go to Epcot try a food an wine in every country & not have to worry about what the kids think.

DH and I are going to WDW in 21 days, just him and I! We are also celebrating our 10th anniversary!

At first I was a little apprehensive about going without the kids. But I think we're going to have a blast and have a completely different experience then when we take the kiddos, who are almost 8, 6 and 21 months.

I super excited about the trip now but for different reasons then I would be if the kids were going. We're going to eat in more grownup places, Narcossees, Cali Grill, Artist Point. We're going to see Cirque Du Soliel. I'm getting a massage. We're going on the Keys to the Kingdom tour.

It will be soooo nice to get away!!!!

I say go for it ;) and enjoy!!
