Disney Visa Rewards

Thanks Chad & Janet!
You explained exactly why I was having problems as I DON'T have the rewards card to transfer the money to, only the visa card

I'll have to order it but it won't help me for this trip as we leave tomorrow. :woohoo: But we're only talking $20 so I'll just have more to spend on the next trip.

:thanks:

No problem!! I hope you guys have an awesome trip. and I definitely wouldn't worry about the $20...you'll just have rewards + 20 for next time!

We Got Ours The Other Day. Since It Is Christmas Season And We Will Use It Some In The Next Month Can We Get New Purchases Credit Added When We Get Down There?
Thanks,

Mike,

Reward card "points" are only calculated at the time your statement is generated. It's not a rolling system that updates daily. (Put another way, your points are NEVER available to you instantly after you make a purchase.) So I would just have everything transferred over day or so before I left for the trip. BUT, if your statement closes during the time you are visiting, you could add those points onto your card by logging in to the website or calling Chase.

Does that answer your question?

You'd have to spend quite a bit to get enough points to make it worth it. Isn't the return like 1% or something?

Yeah, exactly. Good point. 1$ for every $100 you spend. so spend a grand, and get $10. For awhile last year, they had a promotion for double and triple reward points on certain purchases, but I haven't seen anything like that in awhile.

That'd be nice! I should probably watch for the offers more often. I use my Disney card primarily for groceries and gas, then pay it off each month with the funds budgeted toward those things. Those reward points add up quick that way!

We got the Disney Visa in 2003 I believe and for our September 2006 trip we had just under $700.00 in reward dollars :thumbsup2 We put everything on there an dthen pay it off every month. We are not going back until September 2011 so I should have lots of shopping money by then :cool1:

Can Disney Rewards be used towards the Magic Your Way packages?

I was considering booking a package for 12/07 in order to get the meal plan. However, if I can't use the rewards (we have earned about $1200) towards the package, there won't be much I can use it for other than souvenirs (and I'm hoping we don't spend that much on souvenirs!!)

Can anyone let me know what places at WDW accept the reward dollars? Maybe it would be better to ask, is there anywhere at WDW that does NOT accept the rewards card?

TIA!

So I ordered my Rewards card a couple weeks ago and since I requested the rush processing or whatever and haven't received it yet, I got on the phone with them to find out they never got the request and that I was suppose to get a confirmation number of some sorts. So I ask how long it'll take if we order it right now, again, with the rush shipping. He says it'll definitely probably get to me on the 6th (we're leaving on the 8th). I ask him "definitely probably"? "Yes! Defintely probably!" Ok that doesn't make me feel very warm and fuzzy, any other options? He says I could get some sort of temporary card at guest relations at DTD and transfer the points off right there. Anyone have any experience with that?

Chad & Janet,
yea, i think that's it. i was wondering if it had to wait until the end of the statement period before new earned ones would be available. thats what i should have asked i guess. thanks again,
mikewdw
