I think I've read on the boards where you can use your Disney Rewards Dollars to pay partial or all of your vacation. Is that still possible? I haven't booked yet but planning of doing the 6 months 0% ARP.

Do you mean Chase Disney VISA credit card?? Because the Disney reward dollars are what you earn from the disney chase visa. Those reward dollars can be used to simply pay off all or part of your balance.

Thanks for your reply. :) So how would you go about in paying all or partial of your balance using your rewards? Do I still need to transfer them to a card and then use the card to pay off or can I just call them to do it directly?

its easy, you call chase and ask to have your rewards transferred onto a card. It is mailed to you. (or guest services @ Disney can give you a card and you then call chase with it in your hand. Your reward $$ are put onto the card, when you have it in hand THEN you can pay off balances, by giving the card # over the phone or handing a cast member the card...

I've been planning on doing this. Unfortunately, I went to put my deposit down on my Rewards card last night and realized my card expired! :headache: So I wound up putting the deposit on the credit card itself. I think I'll make it through my newfound $200 debt, but that made me so mad!

it would be better to put all of your payment on your actual Disney Visa. That way you get even more rewards which you can use on your trip.

Example: Total package price of $4000.00 put onto your Disney Visa would earn $40.00 in rewards.

If you use your rewards to pay off your trip, you'd end up with less money in the long run. That extra $40 can be used while you are on your vacation.:thumbsup2

this can work. i did this the first year and as i had just gotten my card i only had like $50 to use by the time i went on my trip. however we had DD and therefore the $50 was really only for souvenirs. with the disney visa you get 10% off but only when you charge the full amount over $50. so the second year knowing i had DDP and would be paying only for souvenirs once i got there i chose to use my rewards towards my balance before i left. i then used my card to get my 10% discount and more points for the rest of what i charged. this is completely based on how much your trip is vs how much you will be spending there.

and yes to answer the question the rewards must go on the card first. this tripped me up the second year when i tried to apply towards the balance. i thought that disney could just apply the points towards the balance from my disney visa but they can not. must go thru the rewards card.

thank you thank you :) i love how everyone here's so nice and helpful!! So, definitely be making sure all our rewards dollar goes on the rewards card :thumbsup2 Our trip isn't until Dec but just getting wanting to get our ducks in a row.
