Disney Visa beverage credit question

Is the code for the Disney Visa $50 beverage credit able to be applied as soon as the cruise is paid in full? On Disney Visa's website, it states that the code for the credit must be applied when booking. However, when I called Disney, they said to call after my cruise is paid in full so that they can verify it was entirely paid for by the Disney Visa. I know the representatives can sometimes give conflicting information, so I just wanted to check if anyone else was able to get this applied after paying in full. Thanks!

I had my TA apply it after my cruise was paid in full. It worked perfectly. It covered 10 drinks of the day! The bill was actually broken down and separated from the other shipboard credit we had. A little confusing (especially after 10 drinks of the day) lol

Thanks! That's what I was hoping to hear. I'm just worried that when I call after I pay in full, I'll get someone else who tells me it's too late to apply the code. I really don't want to miss out on free drinks!!

I was told it was on the account but applied when paid in full

Were they able to add the code when you first booked then? The representative that I spoke to told me that she couldn't do it until the entire cruise was fully paid for.

What's the code good for and which level of Disney Visa is required? I haven't gotten any emails about it from Chase. Thanks

Back on the old dcl website the code use to be DCC. I use a TA now and just sent her a message to take care of it and she did. Yes you have to pay with the Disney VISA.

It's good for any Disney Visa. Here's the terms from the website:

Disney Cruise Line Onboard Credit

Must use your valid Disney Visa Card to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation for sailings through 12/30/2016 to receive a $50 onboard credit good towards beverages. Call 1-800-257-2024 or your travel agent to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation and ask for booking code DCC. Offer must be requested at time of booking for new bookings only. The onboard credit is per stateroom for each stateroom paid in full with your Disney Visa Card. Offer is valid for up to two staterooms. Any unused portions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts and is for personal use only. Offer subject to change or cancellation without notice. Ships’ Registry: The Bahamas. My cruise is in 2017, so it wouldn't apply right now. Thanks

Since I've had the card, they've renewed the promo each year (although it used to just be a $50 general room credit, now it's just for drinks). And now, if you really are able to call to apply the code after it's paid in full, it sounds like it could work for your 2017 cruise (assuming that they will continue to renew it).

When I called to book our Feb. 2017 cruise they could not add it at that time...had to wait to see if they renew it.

I booked 3 staterooms for our upcoming cruise, does this mean I can get the credit 3 times? Our cruise is not until June 2017 but hoping they renew this by then ;)

As of right now, the current offer limits the credit to 2 staterooms. Still a nice $100 though!

When did the room credit change to being only for beverages? I remembering getting it years ago and you could use it for anything you charged to your stateroom. Anyone try to use it for anything other then beverages recently?

It changed about a year and half ago. Sometime between Apr 2014 and Jan 2015.

Well, I was going to say tastings & mixology :teeth:.

But, you could get non-alcoholic drinks that would qualify. As in a mixed drink that doesn't have the alcohol.

Maybe coffee in Cove Cafe?
