Disney Visa and 25-point Direct Purchase

Like….to Southwest?

Yes.
A good chunk of my cards are chase cards which earn UR (ultimate rewards) points that can be transferred to southwest and many other airlines and hotel chains.

I haven’t paid for a flight in over 15 years. (Look at my user name 😜)
Yes what traveling on points said...which by the way is a great screenname lol. I personally do AMEX MRs more than Chase URs and transfer mostly to Delta (skypesos I know stink but still I do well with them). I also wait for bonuses like for instance Chase had a 25% bonus on Jetblue transfers a while ago and I dumped most of my points into that. Then it's about finding the right award travel for cheap points with the airlines which if you can plan far enough in advance...and as DVC we usually do...then you can get the cheapest award travel.

A couple of things:

- given the large size of the purchases, maybe not with 25 points, but say 150 points you need multiple sign up bonuses to maximize benefits
- with savings count interest rates, think about what cash you may get from that money just sitting in a bank for 6 months
- I used to play the CC game a lot more, much less now but there is still is some value - especially in international flights. Hyatt is also a strong trade partner, as is the Hyatt card, but that isn't necessarily the best for DVC owners for obvious reasons....
