Disney Visa 5x Bonus rewards

Did everyone else get this postcard? I have gotten several emails and one postcard that were copycat frauds, which I turned into Chase to be investigated. I guess I am just paranoid now bc even though the postcard looks just like my normal Disney Visa advertisement, the website it directs u to still requests the first 6 of your account and some personal info.

I don't understand why I should not be able to log in to my regular online account and sign up through there. Why should I have to give them any info? The fraud websites also looked very legit, and I even saw people on here that signed up for them, so anyway, anyone know anything about this?

I got the postcard too...I called the number and signed up for the 5x savings and it is just good on any amount OVER the $450 and the pharmacies are Walgreens CVS etc...not Kmart Walmart Target.

Just makes me nervous to give info. I would feel more comfortable signing up through my online account.

Yeah it seemed fine to me but I called and spoke to a rep...I would not feel comfortable doing it online.

I just got the 5x post card in the mail yesterday & I signed up. I am filling up with gas $50 each week plus groceries are about $100/week or more so I should make the quota.

The person I spoke to said anything at a grocery store, dining establishment, gas station and pharmacy but not at a Walmart, Kmart or Target even if you are buying your prescriptions there because the stores are rated as warehouse shopping stores

From years of experience, not everyone gets the offer, and the amounts you have to exceed are different. I got one for 5x rewards on purchases at grocery, drug stores, gas, and dining out once I pass the $100 mark. I signed up and started using my card, which had sat around unused for 6 months. The first couple of purchases went through fine, then my grocery charge was denied! Luckily I had another credit card on me to use, and called Chase when I got home. They had decided to put a hold on my card after I signed up for the extra rewards. He said I should have stood there in line at the grocery store and called them to check it out. No thanks, I have never had a card denied before and wanted to get out of there asap. So I remembered why I had stopped using the card - too many problems with Chase. I guess I'll use it for the 3 months and stop again after that.

We got the same thing, and I signed up online. I didn't go out of my way to change my spending habits, but since we buy everything on our Disney Visa (and then pay it off right away when the bill comes) we ended up making an extra 16 points last month. I didn't really pay attention to how much more I had to spend or anything--I would think that if you went out of your way to spend an extra $100 to earn a few Disney dollars it wouldn't really be worth it.

We just counted it as a nice little bonus for being good at spending money.

This program is great IF your stores are classified correctly. My grocery store, pharmacy (RiteAid!) and gas station are all classified as "other" so I never seem to make the minimum to get the bonus!

Just signed up, but boy do I wish they'd include travel/vacation $$'s too! I'd pay off my Aug. ressie now!!!

I guess it must depend on your spending habits because I am eligible for 5% for any purchases over $2200 in one month for Jan, Feb and March. We are capped at $100 bonus dollars. Not sure we will make it to the $100 but since we tend to charge everything (gas, groceries etc.) then right one big check when the bill comes rather than use our debit card, we might come close!

My post card said I have to spend above $600 each month and I will earn 5x Disney Dream Reward Dollars. We usually charge almost every thing. Did someone say it doesn't count at Walmart, Target or K-mart? These are the 3 most places I shop, that stinks!! Is there some where I can look on line that has a list of places you can earn the 5x????

We've had our disney visa for several years--have never had a problem with it or with chase. We've had several of the bonus offers and used them and earned the extra points. One of my friends earned $600 on her card and used it to pay for a big chunk of her vacation in Sept.

I got the postcard and signed up, but I really don't think that I will be able to benefit from it. Does Disney vacations not apply??? Is there a list of just what does???

Sigh...I've been using our Visa card for almost all our purchases for about a year and a half now. I went over the $750 limit for a year even. Not one stinking offer for bonus points. Even double would be nice...

I called customer service after I saw your post. Online the statements show other for grocery store, pharmacy (RiteAid) and gas station, but when she looked up my account, it did classify them correctly as grocery store, pharmacy and gas station and I have been accumulating points for them.
I did get my fall bonus on 12/12/07, one day before our Dec trip and DH was happy to get $50 extra bonus rewards dollars to spend on pins.
