*de-lurking with a question*

I just heard of a service called Michael's VIPs
Have any of you heard of this? Sounds like a lot of money, but it looks cool!

It wouldn't let me post a URL

From the website:
With a Private Tour Guide your family successfully avoids the infamous long lines and crowds!

I would guess he simply gets your fast passes for you and escorts you around the parks, I would doubt very much he actually has any sort of special access. More than likely he'll get your fast pass, then route you to rides that have historically short lines, until your fast pass time arrives.

I was wondering about VIP services. I noticed a couple times CM's escorting families around the park. They would have priority seating. I wasn't sure if it was the magical gatherings, but then one family I only noticed five people??

Anyone know the scoop of personalized service??

What's with all the free advertisement of this guy? I own my business too, but I do not advertise and supply a link to my business here. Why is that allowed???

Not that I would advertise here, but why are some allowed and some banned? Should'nt all advertisement be banned, Disney or not Disney related? This information is not for free, there is a charge, so why is everyone allowed to link this info...there is nothig to see excpet a price and a place to click to buy> What gives??

Should we not be allowed to discuss hotels since that would be advertising?
Should we not be allowed to talk about what great deals we got on a rental car?
Should we not be allowed to mention the Unofficial Guide?
What about posts on the budget board about good deals at certain stores?

All of those things could be considered advertising and none of them are free.

I don't see the difference. I don't know of anyone who has mentioned TGM here that has any personal stake in it. Like many other things we talk about here, it is very directly related to planning a trip to WDW.

I only mention TGM when the subject comes up because I used his website and found it to be extremely valuable in planning our vacation itinerary.

No, as far as I know, he doesn't get any kind of special access. He helps you avoid the long lines and crowds by planning the days for each park and the times for each attraction to avoid lines.

I believe he started his VIP service first, then later on started up the tourguidemike website. I would imagine the strategies and advice are the same. I think the difference is that with the actual VIP tour service, he custom creates all the plans and makes all the arrangements and escorts you, including doing things like running to get FP's while you are doing something else.

DISCLAIMER: I am in no way affiliated with Mike, other than being a subscriber to tourguidemike.com. I am not an expert on his VIP service, I'm simply telling you my understanding of it.

this should not be a place to advertise. good deals, discount codes, great resort prices...fine....but this guy just wants $20.00 some dollars to tell us the obvious. JMHO :badpc: l

Who's advertising???????
NOBODY.

Would you suggest we not be allowed to mention the Unofficial Guide book anymore????

If not, would you please explain to me what the difference is?

Okay no more advertising or saying good things about businesses or services, that includes;

tourguide mike
ticketmania
unofficial guide
Southwest & DING
and the most frequent offender of all -- Disney :earseek:

so what should we talk about now??? :rotfl2:

I just went to your user CP. Within your last 10 posts you have shared a glowing endorsement for a product called Uggs. Talk about sticking your foot in your mouth...

Disney provides Guests who want to experience a Walt Disney World VIP tour for a cost of $125 or $145 per hour for the services of a Disney VIP host. (It is $145 per hour if the host is requested with less than 48 hours notice.) Disney requires that the service be used a minimum of 5 hours consecutively.

This average fee of $1,000 to $1,250 or more per day (or $1,160 to $1,450 or more at $145 per hour) is mostly for the guests to personally experience the extensive knowledge of a Walt Disney World guest relations host. They know which attractions and shows to recommend for their guests, and they can get them there with no concern about maps or directions.

The only guests permitted to receive "back door" entrances to the attractions are nationally known celebrities because it is often the only way that they and their families can possibly visit the parks.

Michael used to work for Disney in this VIP tour section and then went on to form Michael's VIP tours and then TourGuideMike.

You can get info about his service from his website.

TGM -looks like the same VIP service..

He charges 100/hour to escort you around the park... I would hope he would do more than just run and get your fast passes for you for that price!

We may try it on our trip in March... I'll let you all know how it goes... Thanks!

*I'm in no way trying to advertise his site* :) :earsboy:

While I wish you luck, I'm curious what your expectations are? If he doesn't get you Front of the Line access, what are you willing to pay $100 per hour for?
