Here goes...

My Family (me, DH, DD's 20 & 24) Disney vets, many trips. We now find ourselves in uncharted territory.

In May, we will be taking our DD's, one boyfriend, one husband (just home from Afghanistan) and two year old twins!

Flying down, renting an 8 passenger van, staying at SOG.

Stroller questions. We have a great double stroller and single umbrella strollers. There will be six adults, so it is not like one person would ever be alone with two strollers if we take the umbrella ones. What has worked best for those of you with twins or two little ones? Also, DH and I were there in September (scouting trip  ) and we thought the rental double strollers looked comfy and easy to use. Plus, no need to take ours on the bus, monorail, etc. What has been your experience with the rentals? If we rent one and leave and come back, or go to another park, do we have to pay again upon re-entry?

I appreciate any thoughts!

We liked to take umbrella strollers when our twins were little for the simple fact that they were necessary in places other than the parks. Also, it is very difficult to carry sleeping children the far distances you must travel in WDW. ;) (I wonder also if it would be hard keeping two year olds in the park strollers if they want to get out)? :confused3

If you do rent a stroller just save your receipt and you can get another stroller when you come back the same day. Have a fun trip and check this out: princess: princess:

my kids are 3 and 1. on our last trip we took 2 single strollers instead of my double. i really preferred this set up. in fact i sold my double soon afterward as my son never rides anymore (except in disney).

it's doable even with only 2 adults!

We took our own double stroller (side by side) because it was easier for us- we were assured of having the stroller & were able to use it at the resorts & when we went to Universal. It wasn't that difficult to get on & off the buses.
We are going this year with 5 kids, 4 adults & will be taking one stroller for the two month old, a doubel stroller & 2 umbrella stroller with the clips to hook them together.

My kids are 17 months a part so since my DD was born I have had a double stroller. I usually do Disney alone so i have to do the double instead of 2 singles. At that age I would recommend bringing your own instead of renting.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Excellent point!! I hadn't realized they weren't strapped in! Thanks

When our twins were 2, we took them to Disney along w/their older sisters (ages 5 & 7). We took our 2 umbrella strollers w/bright bandanas tied to them to make them more noticable. They were great for us and were pretty easy to get on and off buses. Have fun!

Yes, I know with my two, at age 2 they were off and running, and there's no way we would have been able to keep them in any stroller unless they were firmly buckled (even harnessed) in. However, some kids are more willing to sit without trying to get out. Guess it depends on the personalities of your DGDs. If you think they will sit in the rented strollers (which I think have a loose strap) then you'll probably be ok. :wizard:
