Right!

I've finally managed to persuade my family to visit WDW (boy, they're gonna be bowled over!) and was wondering - when is the best time to visit? I'm thinking about crowds and bugs here - the less, the better.

We like it in late August becouse alot of kids have to be back in school the last 2 weeks of August. the other time we like to go is the last week of May.

hope you and your family have a magical time.:wizard:

Wow, if those were my only choices, I would do late August because crowds *might* be dying down due to kids going back to school.

Another vote for late august when the Florida schools are back in session.

ETA: Why would someone abstain from voting?

None of them seems like the ideal time to bring a family to be bowled over. Hot, humid, major crowds. Uncomfortable, for sure. It those are truly your ONLY options, I agree - late August. Be warned, though. Hurricanes, humidity and nasty mosquitos.

Depends. Do you care about the Heat?

We go back to school in Mid - Late August so the locals will only be there on weekends.

If you are worried about Hot Hot Hot days then come in June before it gets too warm for comfort and you melt when waiting in line for rides and AC

We go late August for the lesser crowds, since that is the only time we are able to go. It is hot very hot, and humid. I never seem to have many problems with bugs.

We just enjoy and have gotten use to JUNE we were down this past year right up to July 2nd and the crowds did pick-up a bit that weekend .

But later in Aug is not that bad either but a bit hotter.

We like late June because it is a tad less hot then Aug. It is the beginng of summer & all our summer clothes & shoes look new still.

OK, I voted for late June. I haven't done late June, but i have done late August, and although the crowds weren't TOO awful (but it was pretty busy) the weather was temperamental with hurricanes and the like. Very hot all through those months I think.

If you want to go when it's quiet and cooler go late september (although weather was still a little dodgy when we did this) or January - we just came back and although it was cold (I wore a hat and scarf sometimes) the queues were really short both times (rode some rides a couple of times without getting off due to no queue at all). You can do so much more when the weather is cooler!

We plan on doing those weeks in the future until we have kids in important school years when I guess it would have to be back to the summer heat and exhaustion!

Personally, I would avoid Summer. We prefer the Fall, usually late Sept. or Oct. This year we are going mid-Nov. I hope the weather is still nice. We always take the kids out of school.

Since that was not an option on the poll, I guess I would choose late Aug. when the crowds start to die down.

Out of the choices definitely late August.

I can't imagine going in the summer- there are times I think it's too hot in the winter!

Of those choices, I'd go with late August, but then you have a chance of running into hurricane season.

we also have to go in the summer and we think the best time i late august. :)

Thanks, guys!

I'd prefer to go in Sept, but school times forbid this unfortunately - the schols over here go back early September. We'll try and push the holiday back as far as we can :)

could you go in early june? that is a good time too.

I've been Late June and it wasn't as hot or crowded as it is in July. Do clear out well before July 4th though. Early June would certainly be much better. The farther into the summer you go, the hotter and more crowded it gets. Late August brings fewer people, but then you have to worry about hurricanes and it can be absolutely unbearable in terms of heat. The hotels are considerably cheaper though. Whatever you pick, have a great trip.
