wow, i was just at disney world nd i hate the transportation the buses are always late at the resort and magical express has the slowest drivers in the area. so post your opionions here

I go to Disney every year and can you believe that they have the guts to offer to take my butt from my resort to the parks as well as DTD. I mean come on...I want to add on to my travel budget, Gas is only $3+ a gal and I surely can pay that to save myself the 5 minutes or so I can't stand waiting on the bus for. Oh and the fact the bus driver on ME drove the speed limit...how dare he! I want to get to my destination fast...I am not worried about safe!

Yes I am kidding....
I know I have complained a time or two about it as well, but over all Disney transportation is something that makes my vacation a little more relaxing!

I have to say my only complaint is the newer drivers seem to have a problem following their own Computer on the new buses. We stayed last week at BCV and i can't count on both my hands the number of times buses went to the wrong resort or had to do a u turn to correct a mistake.

The worse was 2am EMH MK and the driver pulled away from me as I got to the bus signaling a bus right behind him . We 35 min later when the driver of said bus couldn't get 2 wheel chairs in,then couldn't get the rear doors to close, leaving the worse going to the wrong entrance into the wrong resort only to go into the wrong entrance into the correct resort. When he finally stopped at the yatch club everyone on the bus got off and walked over to BC.

ME no problem as i have no problem with them doing speed limit.

we love parking when we arrive at our resort and never seeing our truck again until we are ready to leave:woohoo: we try not to be in a hurry, so if one is running a bit behind it's no big deal:confused3 I give those driver a lot of credit; the way cars on the road pull in front of them is crazy. It's not exactly like they can stop on a dime:dance3:

I have worked in the bus industry for the last 20 years and the Disney bus system still amazes me how they always seem to get busses in the right places at the right time

I think Disney does a great job with transport. The DME drivers are NOT Disney CMs, they are Mears drivers, and you're LUCKY if you got one safe enough to drive the limit. Be thankful.

I'm not sure what your definition of "late" is. I feel the buses run on a fairly well-done schedule, trying to balance load and passenger convenience. For a free service, it's really well done.

The only problem I incurred was the buses at CBR....With a resort that size waits can be expected...
We had no problems to date with DME and really enjoy the fact we do not have to rent a car..

We were there 2 weeks and never had one issue with the Disney Transport

:thumbsup2

We've been going since 1977, our 39th trip this September and never had any complaints or issues with Disny transportation. If we drive to WDW, we like parking the car and being chauffeured around, no stress no mess. We've never rented a car either when taking Amtrak to WDW. The buses and boats run great, so we wait once in awhile, we're in no hurry, we're going to wait in some line somewhere on property so whats a few minutes more.

We like the no expense of renting a car and paying for gas, total that up against a little wait here and there and you don't get anywhere any quicker by driving. Parking lots are huge and waiting for the tram when Disney buses drop you right at the gate and then doing the reverse to leave a park with everyone scrambling to get out and head for their resort, I've seen the endless stream of red tail lights trying to leave the parking lots as I sit on an A/Ced bus headed to my resort which drops me right off close to the lobby. What the point, are you in that big of a hurry, especially on vacation. Vacation time is dear to me too but the added stress and expense of renting, driving, parking and hiking is takes more time than its worth.

We never leave the property, no SW, IOA, off property dining, we get all we want and could need right inside the Disney property. We kick back and relax and leave all the worrying to Disney. For what I pay for my resort and tickets and food, they can haul my rear anywhere they please and if I have to wait 15 minutes for another bus, so be it.

I stay on Disney property for the transportation.

ME, IMO, can't be beat and I talk it up to anyone who will listen. Always on time for me and not carrying our bags around is a major plus.

I've stayed at CBR twice and didn't have any problems with the buses except maybe being crowded at park closing but that was expected. The longest wait we had was about 15 minutes.

We went in January! I am an impatient person who hates to wait. I fully went there expecting to rent a car on day 2.
As it turned out the magical express impressed me! And I never once had a complaint about the bus service to parks.

I did however change two ADR because it seem like to much of a hassle to get from our resort to another for some breakfast. I just seemed simpler to eat at the parks we were going to.

Well said.:) Once you weight the options on some things it can be worth that extra time with the money that you'll save. Say it again.:rotfl:

No complaints at ALL here. I can't believe how WELL the system works considering the number of people they have the shuffle around. Heck, and it's FREE - even if your not staying at one of their resorts!!!!!

One reason we always stay on site as well IS the transportation. I thoroughly enjoy getting off the plane and never having to worry about how I'm getting anywhere. :thumbsup2

I found Disney transportation to be very efficient. I never waited long for a bus from the resort. One time we waited at Epcot. I am on vacation. I want to be relaxed and not worry about time. When I knew I had to be some where at a certain time, I left early, or took a taxi( which was only $7 for a van for 8 of us). When at Disney, I do not want to run around at the speed of light, I do that at home.

What number did you call to get a taxi for 8 pp? We are going in Sept. and have 8 and when I called a taxi number, they told us the taxi van only held 7 people? If you could pass this info on I would really appreciate it.

We should just let this thread die and stop feeding the troll.

All in all the transportation is good. Some resorts are better than others.. the better the resort, better transportation you get.
My only complaint is for the MK from POP... you will have Epcot ( which is closer) AK, MGM,a lot of times coming back again before you get another MK Bus. It also seems they take the "Scenic Route" to and from. When we use the car... we take a different route and it is 10-13 minutes quicker.:car:

I do wish the buses could at least drop you off at or near the gates instead of hoofing it from the "Bus Corral". :faint: I can handle catching it from the Corral.. just would like to be able to "Get to the action quicker" !!!!::mickeyjum :tigger: :dumbo: :goofy: :tinker:
