Has anybody ever purchased pins from pincastle.com? I think they have a lot of great pins and hard to find as well, but I was not certain if they could be traded in Disney. They look to be the authentic thing, but I am uncertain.

The pins that are listed on the home page are official disney pins and are all tradable in the parks... however, they are a little over priced for trading purposes.
If they had a pin that I just had have for my collection, I might be willing to pay those prices... otherwise, even their grab bags are over $3.00 a piece. I set my limit around $2.00 and often can find official disney pins for less than that. Try ebay and look for pin lots or take a look at mousepinsonline.com
I have ordered from them several times and will do so again!!!

You think $3 is high for a pin when they start at $6 in the parks?
I have not seen a pin on their site for less than $6. What am I missing.

I may be confused... I think $3.00 is high when I can get them for $2.00. When I take 75-100 pins to the park to trade during my week long vacation... I am saving $75-100 by only paying $2.00 I'm not sure I understand which website you were referring to... which website were you looking at that has pins for $6 or more? The pins at mousepinsonline.com are normally $3.00 each... if you use their monthly special of 40 pins for $72.00 then you are paying $1.80 each.

You should know that these pins are made by propins, but are still good quality (NOT sedesma.) I have traded for these pins from CM's because I like them and I have had several children trade with me because they liked the bright colors of these pins.

Hi Mistie,

In my original post, I refer to pincastle.com. Those are authentic Disney Pins like purchased in the parks.

I looked at the site you referred and they really do not have much to choose from. Do they rotate stock often? It did not look like they have 40 different pins to make a grab bag from.

I think they do send 40 different pins... but I'm not positive about this. The stock they have is all they will ever have - they never will have anymore than what they have right now! They bought a bunch of pins (maybe discontinued???) at one time and are not selling off their stock - the full story is printed on their website.

Remember, if you are trading, you don't need 40 different pins... They usually have sales for individual pins at $1.85 each and I will purchase 3-4 of each style. I have never had a problem trading with a CM and have never seen the same pin that I was trying to trade with.

The first trip that I took... I purchased a lot of pins from different websites and felt satisfied as long as I didn't spend more than $6.50 (price at WDW) - however, I know I can do better than that and save a lot more money. I don't only purchase from mousepins though... I also use ebay and just keep my eye out for the less expensive pin lots.
