Disney should just throw this witch to the curb!!!

What should Disney do with the 7DMT witch?

  • Leave the witch alone!!! Stop hatin'.

  • Get rid of the witch!

  • Move the witch to the beginning of the ride.

For all that is holy in the World, leave the witch alone. Poor lady just wanted to sell some apples!

And maybe while we're at it we should get rid of Ursula from VOTLM, Captain Hook from PP.:rotfl2: When I saw the ride through, the entire cabin scene pays homage to the original Snow Whites Scary Adventure ride as seen here.

The scene in the mine train is outside look at the scene just prior to the scene in the original ride.

I was happy to see her included. The villains are poorly represented in the parks IMO. That's one reason my family loved the Halloween party. We met as many villains as we could!

What keeps Disney stories relatable (and, I would argue, from sinking into the abyss of meaningless constructed happiness) is conflict. All stories with any staying power speak to the deepest parts of the human condition, which most of us know is a complicated and conflicted place.

This is why adults still watch kids' movies at all: it's not just about silly jokes and pretty colors. It's also about universal themes that, however indirectly, relate to our lives. I'm excited for the glittery cave with the dwarves but for the story to persist (which it should) the witch is a small, poignant reminder of the conflict that moves the story forward.

Aww. Now I miss the original. Thanks for posting the link.

I voted to stop hatin'.

It makes total sense with the movie tie in to the ride.

I know tone doesn't portray over the internet but yes I was being facetious. Like I said in my previous post, that entire scene harkens back to the original ride and like you say, the rest of the story. And in that vein, of course the witch should stay.

I love that witch. She's a classic. They should put her at the end of all the Disney rides. I can picture at the end of It's a Small World offering apples to the dolls. :rotfl2:

Oh! Sorry - I was quoting you earlier because I agreed :)

Ugh- her face and those creepy nails....yuck!!! This witch at the end ruins the entire 7DMT ride experience. After looking at all those marvelous glowing gems and pretty Snow White dancing...we're left with her gruesome mug as the final scene. Get rid of her, Disney....she doesn't add anything to the ride..... at least place the witch at the very beginning of the ride so we can forget about her!!!!

:rolleyes2

How can you have a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs story without the witch?!

:thumbsup2

Well, she IS important to the Snow White story, so I think she should stay. But, I do think she's kinda, well, YUCKY!! :P

I was amused to find this thread. :surfweb:

Of course the witch has a place in this story and needs to be represented in the mine train ride. If you remember the movie, the witch makes her appearance to Snow White during the movie, not at the beginning.

Throw the witch to the curb????? NO!!!! She is what makes this the HOTTEST ticket in town!!!!

OK, that was sarcasm. Sue me. But she is an integral part of the whole story. Without the witch there is no point to the entire fairy tale.

You Imbecile! Away with you and your little minions!
