Why did you choose the screen name you use on these boards?

This is something that's always interested me, and that's the how, when, why, what, and where your "DISNEY"-oriented screen names come from.

This is mostly for those of you with a "DISNEY" themed name, but anyone is welcome to share!

My name, CaseyJr, goes back a few years to the old PRODIGY boards. Almost 100% of the posters had a "DISNEY' handle, and I wanted one, too. I wanted something that had special meaning. Well, to those who don't know, Casey Junior is the name of the circus train from DUMBO (remember the little song, "Casey Junior's coming down the track, coming down the track, with a smokey stack....). My son was very young at the time, but he loved trains, loved DUMBO, and loved Casey Junior (said that DUMBO was his favorite movie because of that little train!). So, my screen name was born!

What about you!:hyper:

Well the keli part is the first two letters in my daughters names ke (Kelsey) and li (Lisa) and my girls just loved the movie Cinderella.

Mine's not terribly interesting but here it is:
I had just begun researching for our first disney trip and we were watching the newest planning video. The winnie the pooh ride was new then and on the video they had two girls talking about riding in the "hunny pots" and bouncing up and down like tigger. I don't know, it just stuck in my head. Pooh has always been a favorite character for my now 16 year old dd, so it is really more for her than me.

Thanks for asking! :wave2:

I love reading board names too. Tinkerbell is the coolest chick, and when my Disneymania started 3 years ago, my DH started calling me the little pixie, maybe due to my flighty personality or due to due the fact that I'm only 5' 1. :rolleyes:

Mine would be a combination of my Nickname and the name of a famous mouse ;)

Well I'm Cajun!
and
I'm a Walt Disney World Fan!

That about sums it up!

Before the Walt Disney World College Program, there was the Magic Kingdom College Program. Even though it had already been renamed WDWCP when I interned at Disney, at the Magic Kingdom the "old-timers" called the students "mkcp's." I was there in 1991 - hence, mkcp91.

Bill From PA: LOL!

Mine isn't that great either. My name is Jamie. Take off the "-ie" and you have Jam. Jam aka Jelly. Woo. hoo. I am so clever. I came up with that when I was about 12 and I've used it in varying forms for login names and such ever since.

So to sum up this lesson:
Jelly = Jamie
disney = disney

:p

Mine was the first thing that popped into my head. I was having sever Disney-itis at the time, planning for my wonderful 7 night trip, and I wanted something Disney related, plus I'm a Donald Duck fan... and this just jumped into my brain. I couldn't think of anything else after that, so I went with it.

It also leaves a nice signature - D4D

I have always used Kaycee for screen names and for my email. It's just my initials, KC, spelled out. There wasn't a Disney connection...or so I thought!

We were at WDW in December 2002 (about 6 years after I first started using Kaycee) watching "Walt Disney: One Man's Dream." Now, I've loved Walt Disney for as long as I can remember, so I was really enjoying the film and learning more about Walt. They got to the part where they were telling how Walt went to Kansas City to start his animation career, and they showed the first animation studio he ever worked in. There it was on the screen: KAYCEE STUDIOS! When I saw that, I couldn't believe it - even the spelling was the same. It's so cool to know that my screen name has a Disney connection after all. :teeth:

Mine comes from 9 long years of invitro fertilizations, losing twins and triplets along the way, and finally ending up with my 4 year old son!
my best friend once said- when you ask God for a hamburger and fries, he just might give you a steak and baked potato!

CAJUNWDWFAN, whar'bouts in Cajun County is y'all from?

(No offense intended! I love listening to anyone from S. Louisiana talk, but especially like to hear "Cajun!")

Mine's quite obvious- I'm 31 years old( boo, hoo,) and I just LOVE Buzz Lightyear!!!!! He is just the cutest, most adorable character ever!!!! In fact, whenever I go to WDW, I try my hardest to find him in the parks, so I can get a picture with him!!! :tongue: :hyper: From the moment I first saw him, I knew he was going to be my new favorite character. It's great to know that his popularity hasn't waned a bit!!! :teeth: :teeth:

I was in fourth grade (yes, you can do the math :rolleyes: ) I loved Pluto and my parents had taken me and my brother to Disney we looked for Pluto the whole time we were there and never found him. The very last night we were there at closing there was Pluto sitting on a bench all alone...I ran over and grabbed him and cried like a big baby and of course being the end of our trip my parents had no film left!:(

Flash forwards to 1993 my girlfriend and I had a layover at Tampa coming from a friends house and decided to hit Disney. We rented a car and the first thing we did when we got there was tell the person at the info booth and they paged Pluto...found out where he was and he waited for us to get there and I got my picture!! (like 17 years later!)

So, that is how I picked my name and you know the first thing I'm doing when we get there in May!!:teeth:

jellydisney,

I assumed you were a fan of Jellyrolls, as I am. Lots of fun to be had there!

Mine was easy, it is a combination of my initials and one of my favorite subjects.. :) I have been using it for eons.

I too used to frequent the old Prodigy boards way back in the day when we first purchased into the DVC in the early to mid '90s. I remember some of the posters there and have seen a few here. Clarry Trice was a pretty well known DVCer back then.
