Hi everyone,

My husband and I just got approved for Disney Rewards Visa Credit (we had debit last year, then got snubbed by the anti-rewards debit card act) and so I just had a few questions.

When you change the design of your card, do you have to send the old one back? Can't you keep your old card? Do they give you a new card number, is that why you can't use your old one? If so, and you have two users, do you have to send both cards back to get matching numbers?

Thanks everyone. :thumbsup2

Any time you get a new number (because you lost the old card, whatever), the old one is invalid, doesn't work. Yes, they both have to match, numberwise, if they're on the same acct.

However, no you don't have to ever send them back in. They invalidate them so they can't be used at all, the number won't work. Hence, they don't care what you do with the old cards. You're meant to cut them up but if you just like the design... :confused3 do what you like.

If you request a new design, they do not change your number. They just send you a new card. It is possible to have more than one active card in your name at a time. I had a Nemo, and an Ariel for a while.

Husband has a castle, and a Toy Story right now.....

True, but being as technically you are the only one that can use yours (they randomly ask for ID here), I mark mine up on the back so it can't be used, don't want too many floating around in case it's lost. My husband will only use the "generic" looking one, guess he thinks he's too macho to use the other ones even though he loves Disney as much as me LOL

When I first got the account, you could only get one design for both cards. I wanted the Tinkerbelle one and DH said he didn't mind, but he got comments and weird looks every time he used it (which was basically for everything since we were trying to rack up as many rewards dollars as we could). I think he had that card for about 2 years. :upsidedow

When I got the info that you could have different card designs for the same account he decided to get the red one with the Mickey head in stars. So it's still Disney, but subtle.

My husband went with the ToyStory one....I still haven't upgraded my card to a new design, just the original castle one. Going to check now to see if they have any new designs :)
