Disney Reward dollars and final payments

A few questions:

Will my credit card (on file with MDE) automatically be charged on the date the final payment is due?

If not, do I need to call Disney and tell them to charge that card?

I'd like to use a Disney Visa Reward Dollars for some of the payment. I haven't requested the card yet. How long does it usually take for the card to arrive?

If the rewards card arrives after the final payment deadline is there any way make the payment and refund the charge to my credit card? (I doubt it...)

I normally have a room only reservation so I've never experienced the 'final payment due by' date before. Thanks for being patient with all my questions!

That'll probably end up happening. It's tricky though, since some places offer 10% off for using a Disney Visa card & I have a lot of Disney dollars to burn. Then again, I could be over thinking things.

I know they say it can take up to a few weeks to get the rewards card, but I requested mine recently and it took less than a week to arrive.

I just recently ordered a Reward Dollars card, and there were 2 options for shipping:

1) You could pay $10 to expedite it, and they said you would have it in 1-2 business days, or
2) You could pay nothing, and you would have it in 5-7 business days.

Opted for the free option, and got it in 6 business days...of course YMMV, but that was my experience!

I just called to order my Rewards card this morning. The CM told me that it would arrive on August 13 ( just one week ) . I hope she is correct . We leave on Sept 1 so I didn't want to wait till the last minute. I figure that the credits for the rest of this month can go toward my next trip.

I don't know if this has changed since we were last there but even if we used our reward card they gave us the Visa discount (Mousegears and World of Disney)

Yes, you absolutely can call & have your payment changed to the rewards card. We did that when we got our Visa last year. The only hitch was that we had to wait about 3-4 weeks for them to refund the payment back to the original card.

I believe once you get your card you can transfer additional credits if you earned any. I usually do it online, but there may be a 10 point minimum.

I did this exactly when I went in June. My statement date was while we were in Disney (you don't get the rewards you've accrued for the month until the close of that month) and I was able to load those points onto my card online and they were immediately available to use.
