Disney resort with fridge and microwave?

I love all the perks of staying in a Disney Resort (Magic Hours, Airport and Baggage pick-up, easy access to parks, etc.) but I'm wondering if there is a resort with any type of cooking/food storage in the room. I can't imagine not eating at least one meal a day in the room.--Peg (first time visitor,planning for Dec 2008)

The DVC resorts have all of that...the studios have a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, coffe maker. The one and two bedroom villas have full kitchens.

How many people do you need accommodations for?

Lowest in cost, going up in price...

Reasonable -
All-Star Music has family suites with a kitchette with a small fridge and microwave.

Fort Wilderness Cabin have a full kitchen.

Pricey -
Studios at Vacation Club resorts have a small fridge and microwave.

Vacation Club 1 & 2 bedroom Villas have full kitchens.

Have you considered the Dining Plan? It is plenty of food, so you wouldn't need accomodations with a food prep area.

We are staying at the Boardwalk this summer because there are villa rooms with a full kitchen. There are other cheaper on site hotels that offer the same. I was quoted a great price at Old Key West from Dream Vacations but we have other family staying at the Boardwalk.

Disney Vacation Club - Disney's version of a timeshare.

Most hotels have a fridge available for rent or included in price, depending on where you stay. Many people on this board have had groceries delivered to their room on their arivial day. You can save a lot of money by doing this because Disney food is expensive. One bottle of water is 2.50. I plan on trying this my next trip. Wegoshop and gardengrocer have been mentioned. There is a small fee involved for delivery. Just depends on what you want to do. We have never gotten the dinning plan.

Yes I got your private message but had a hard time replying. This swap sounds like a great idea. I'm very surprised that the resorts allow you to plug in fridges and especially microwaves because of fire codes and such. But it's a great idea. I will put it in my Disney binder for sure.
