went to 2 more targets last night and both are still ringing up at $89

I realize these aren't 'fine' guitars or anything, but I would still check into the sizing, as this is important. A guitar that fits an 8 year old may not fit a 12 year old. For example, my 8 year old plays a 3/4 size and has since she was 4, but there is no way she will play that size much longer.

There are no designes for boys, huh? Again, the boys get the short end of the stick. This would hav ebeen perfect for my DS6 who's been asking for a guitar!

Our Target had the Camp Rock guitars for $22, but the Hannah Montana were full price. They also had a cd/ipod boombox (Camp Rock) for $15 down from original price of $59.

Scanned the guitars and they're still full price here. Was going to pick up the Camp Rock radio/mp3 boombox for $15 but when I got back from the scanner a lady was walking off with it! lol Oh well, i'll check another Target tomorrow.

I ended up getting DS 9 a Power Tour guitar based on something I read on a thread on this board. Check out the reviews on Amazon.....it sounds pretty decent (I'm looking forward to playing with the thing )

I was so excited when I saw this that I ran out to Target and got the last Camp Rock guitar for $24.

DD(7) has been talking about wanting a guitar for MONTHS. Now she can get one for the holidays.

Guess now I have to look for someone to teach her how to play it.

I just wanted to thank you for posting this thread. My dd has been bugging me for a guitar for months, but I just couldn't justify spending $90.00 + for something that she would probably lose interest in within a few months. I can definitely do $22.00 though and she loves camp rock (You can't do any better than that!) I had to call around to 7 targets to find one, but I'm picking up the last one as soon as my husband gets home from work. She will be soooo excited!!!! Thanks!

I went to Target today and they had the guitars, but there was no sale. I was totally bummed! DD has a guitar on her Christmas list.

Our Target only had the Camp Rock ones marked down. I got one acoustic and one electric for DD 9 and DS 6. They also had the Camp Rock CD/Ipod boom box fo 14.xx and I picked that up too.

I couldn't find Camp Rock locally and the HM guitars are all still full price. So I bid on a Camp Rock acoustic version on E-Bay and ended up getting it for about $50 with the shipping costs. My DD has been begging for this and I was thinking that next year when she goes to 3rd grade she may end up no longer believing in Santa so I want him to bring her something she is dying to get this year.

Thanks!!! I wasn't able to find any of the HM ones a couple weeks back marked down. I went ahead and ordered the pink one from JCP. They are having a great clearance sale! I got each of the kids new comforters, the guitar, and a dodgeball game for DS (all Christmas gifts) for $70 shipped!!!
