Disney Quest

What is a reasonable amount of time to allocate for Disney Quest ? Have never been and would like to see all the highlights and perhaps few of the minor offerings. Various sites have stated anywhere from 2 to 6 hours.

In my plan I have an option of either going on a Tues. or Fri. Which would be a better day ? Plan to be there in early December. I plan to be there at DQ's opening time. I have found contradictions in opening time for DQ.

What can I expect for a wait time using Disney Bus transporation from DQ to the GF ?

Any other comments or opinions concerning Disney Quest (worth it, not worth it, must see rides, can skip etc) are appreciated.

my DS (7) and i stayed about 5 hours. it was all i could handle. i dont like video games and the like. we were there at open and as the day went on it got very crowded. BTW, we were there in may. what i did was planned just that for the day. when we were done we got ice cream and wandered around then went to the market place and shopped. made for a very nice relaxing day in the middle of my vacation.

most people suggest not to go on friday, saturday, or sunday. those seem to be the most crowded days. i would go on tuesday if i were you.

We were there a week ago Thursday. We got there around 4 or 5 pm and it was not crowded at all. I'm sorry to report, however, none of us really liked it and we left after about an hour. It was me and my boyfriend, his 13 yo daughter and my 17 yo daughter. I don't know what I was thinking - I don't really like video games and simulators make me sick and that's pretty much Disney Quest for you. It wasn't just me, though. The girls didn't care for it either. The good thing was there was absolutely no wait to do anything. The only thing I wanted to do was that Animation class thing with the instructor, but we left without doing it. I nearly barfed on the Jungle Cruise raft simulator. You might like it, though. A lot of people just rave about it. Have fun!

You didn't mention the ages of your kids.

We went last year, over my objections, and stayed 6 hours! I couldn't believe it, either. I enjoyed it, my husband and kids LOVED it - I had so much fun designing and riding my own roller coaster that it's on my agenda to not miss this on our return visit in November. We're allocating about 3-4 hours for it. My kids are 7, 9 & 9, and it's pretty neat. The treasure island (not sure of real name) boat adventure is fantastic, as is the roller coaster. I forget some of the other things - oh, yeah, the human pinball is also fun.

I would say teenagers may be bored after an hour, but anyone under eleven would love it. They have a virtual reality thing that is great, and my daughters loved making a CD.

If it's included in your ticket (it's on some of them), I'd say give it a try. They say Cheescake Factory is great food, but we haven't eaten there yet.

PS: If you go, be prepared to have your kids wonder off. There are different floors that can get confusing, and my husband and I usually split up to watch them better.

First time we went we had no idea.....got there at opening....plannned to stay 4-5 hours.......2 adults/3 kids.

Well, 8 hours later we finally left, because the evening crowd was coming in and too crowded.

Had a great time, lots to do, I skip some virtual due to dizziness, but loved the one doing battle with comic strip characters.

Ate the Cheesecake food, best value there. Got large everything pizza, two fries and my 5 big eaters could not finish it. And it was very reasonable.

Pirate Ride is awesome as is the roller coaster.

Went back this summer and took 30 & 50 yr old cousins. We laughed for hours. They had a blast.

Place was dead empty so we ended up leaving after about 5 hours because we had done it all over and over.

Nice change of pace, indoors, food is reasonable and a variety of things to do. Kids took animation class, made cd's, variety of games video, pinball, sports, air hockey, virtual reality, bumper cars that shoot stuff.....

ps Got my tickets through www.mousesavers.com then linked to Ticketmania. $10 off each ticket and they delivered them to our hotel.

We are also ordering tickets to DQ via Mousesavers. I am not interested in going, but ordered 3 tickets for my 20-something kids (who all decided they wanted to go to WDW now that mom and dad own DVC... )

DH and I plan to sit down at DTD and people-watch....our favorite pastime.

I would also suggest NOT going on a rainy day. Everyone wants to go there on rainy days and it is mobbed. Go on the most beautiful day possible and go early. There won't be anyone else in there with you. There are no windows anyways so you won't know how nice it is outside.

I was there with my DD9 about 10 days ago... it was fun

We were there from opening - 11:30am till about 3:00pm and did all the big things... pirates of the caribbean, virtual jungle cruise, alladin carpet, buzz astro blaster thingy, build your own rollercoaster, alien encounter... + some time for the interactive drawing easels and other attractions.

By 3pm we needed a break and had a late lunch at Wolfgang pucks...

Definatley squeeze ina visit to DQ during your trip
