i just read on another board that disney is raising their prices again effective sunday. now a one day ticket will cost $63 before tax.

does anyone know what multiday tickets will go up to???

when are these price increases going to stop???
it's getting so expensive to visit theme parks......

I think the $63 one day is the price now. Mary on Mousesavers said 1/1, a "substantial" increase. The multi-day pricing greatly reduces the per day cost.

thanks for your imput dan.

i just now heard on the radio that disney is announcing the price increase efective sunday. ........but didn't hear what the price will increase to.

i should still have time to buy tickets from the disney store tomorrow before the increase.....

Buy a 10 day, no expiration, hopper, advanced purchase online, price is $353.58. tax included, will call at WDW. That is 35 bucks a day. :cool1:

The current price before tax according to the disney website is 59.75.

So if I bought the tickets tomorrow, how long would they be good for? Meaning before I activate them for the first time, are they good for one year?

If you buy tickets that don't expire, they are good forever (or a really long time, whichever comes first).

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is:
Tickets do not start to expire until the first time you run them through a gate at WDW. Then they expire 14 days from the date of first use. If you purchase the "No Expiry" option they will never expire.

:) So if I buy tickets (without the no expiration), is there a time frame where they must be passed through the gate? Could I buy them tomorrow and not use them for 2 years, 3 years, etc? I know that once I use them one time, they would have to be used within the 14 days, but is there a time limit from the date of purchase to the first time they are used? Hope that makes sense!

They don't expire. That doesn't necessarily mean they're good forever, but that's about as close as you can get.

I wonder whether Disney would honor old, pre-magnetic stripe park hoppers -- I would guess they would. The only old admission they probably wouldn't honor is that from that old ABCDE ticket books.

Bicker, I still have tickets with two days left on them back from our 2004 trip. Are they still good, do you know? (That was back pre-buy the exp date scenerio)

Wow, my psychic abilities are amazing! I answered your question before or as you were posting it! I think I'll start up my psychic hotline now!!! :rotfl2: I bet you and I were posting at the same time!

Just an FYI regarding ticket expiration. I purchased a set of two day hoppers that had an expiration date of 12/31/2005, regardless of when they were first used. I don't know if this was because they were "discounted" tickets, but they definitely were not good forever. I would make sure to ask the question when purchasing tickets in advance whether or not they have an expiration date.

My DD and DSIL were in town for a few days and just wanted to go to Epcot for 1 day. Tickets for the 2 of them were $127.00 and some change.

Yes, there are tickets that expire, even expire without regard to first use. Those are separate from the standard tickets available, but are part of a special promotion.
