disney price increase

so it looks like the 10 day myw ticket price has increased by $69 before tax.

i read on the mouseforless board this morning that someone inquired about buying the 5 day pass and it would reflect a $6.90 increase per day for that amount of myw pass.
i haven't figured that one out yet.

i better head out to the disney store today and buy the 10 day one.
on debs site it said ticketmania was sold out of the 2005 ones that i need.

about the non expiring tickets.....i have three sets of passes from 1993 that have only the options left on them. these babies have 5 options on them that are still good. i went to pleasure island in october and had to go to the trailer stand to switch one of the options over to a different ticket to go to the adventurers club. all it took was the time i stood in line.

yes, the options were stil valid and i still have quite a few options left on those passes.
disney tickets never expire.

i bit the bullet and bought the 10 day hopper from disney by phone just now.
for the 10 day hopper it was $247.08 plus $3 for shipping, for a total of $250.08.
this is for today's prices. the cm told me as of tomorrow, the 10 day hopper will cost $266 at the gate or $257.73 on an advance purchase. from what i have read on other threads and boards, that new figure doesn't seem right.
too late now, i already made my purchase.

old orchard disney store had the 10 day pass when i called them but i didn't want to drive down there and fight traffic on a saturday. i figured i would burn that $3 plus more in gas to do so......our gas here in lake county went up to $2.36 this morning. yikes !!

ended up booking the room with the AAA rate for the fall. prices only went up $2 (plus tax) this year for the value season on that one

i hate having to make decisions at the last moment. i usually research and try to catch a package.

Buy a 10 day, no expiration, hopper, advanced purchase online, price is $353.58. tax included, will call at WDW. That is 35 bucks a day. :cool1:

dan, i was rereading the thread and noticed the will call option.
when i talked with the cm today, he said disney strongly requests no will call on sold tickets if you are over 60 days out on your trip.

the cm told me he would talk to a supervisor if i insisted but said disney does not want to do will call if they can help it. i ordered and booked the trip today but not leaving until end of sept. paying the 3 to have it mailed to me.

i took a pass on the non expiring.....that's another 100 bucks....i plan to be there for a full 9 days and evening of a 1 day when i arrive.

yes they are !!!!
glad someone else noticed it.

i have a 10 night stay booked now, room only with AAA.

i need to order my universal tickets this week. they have a special sale going on buy a 2 day 2 park pass and get 3 more days free and a child ticket for each adult ticket bought. the child and adult ticket they told me are interchangable. the sale goes off in march. guess that means no price hike yet for them, but it will come i'm sure.

i always tack on the universal part to hit HHN before i return home from orlando.
their prices are so much cheaper.......$99 and with tax it is under $103 for 5 days at 2 parks.

why can't disney do that..........

Well I haven't booked our July trip yet so I guess I'm stuck, but according to the Sentinel article the 7 day pass will only be going up 2.5 percent, so we're OK, only about $25-30 difference total for 4 "adults" (one 11, one 14) and 1 child.
