Disney Premier Visa card- anyone upgrading?

This has probably already been asked, but I don't remember. Does your card number change when you upgrade?

Your expiration date and your 3 digit verification code will change, but your card number will remain the same.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info!

DH and I both have the card number memorized and I hate having to memorize a new one!

:lmao:

Me too! I lucked out that my new exp. date is my nephew's b-day and my 3-digit code is DD's bday. :rotfl:

For those of you who were told you didn't qualify for the upgrade...try again. I called a couple of weeks ago and the rep said that we didn't qualify. On a whim, I tried again this week and the rep said, "Sure, what card design do you want?" :confused3 So keep trying!! All they can say is no.

Now, if I can just quit running to the mailbox everyday looking for that dern card! So excited!!!!:yay::dance3::cheer2:

I just upgraded today. I was stoked enough about 5% for gas for first 90 days and now I just read that our trip counts for 5% too? YEAH BABY!!

You betcha! We are cruising later this month so you bet that is all going on the card! :)

ok, my upgrade went live yesterday but I haven't gotten my new cards yet. I have been calculating everywhere I go, the disney dollars I am earning:)

Went to do an online order and put in my current expiration date and ccv code and it wouldn't work. Dang it! No more online shopping until I get my new cards.

Upgraded!!! When I called to upgrade the CM said we would go "live" with bonus rewards as of 2/29. Checked my rewards on line thinking I might see something that would indicate we're now getting the additional %. Will it not show until the end of the current cycle? I've been trying to save any big purchases until I know for sure. :thumbsup2

Thinking about upgrading my Disney Visa but one thing is holding me back. I have automatic payments going to our cable company (Comcast) our cellphones (AT&T) and our car insurance company (Allstate). I am worried if I upgrade, things will get messed up with the auto-payments. Has anyone upgraded (and currently has auto payments made towards utilities etc) without problems?
thanks in advance!

Not to worry, I have the same situation. AT&T had my new expiration date before I got my new card. The other accounts I updated the info and nothing has miss a beat. The only change is the expiration year and security code.

As a side note if anyone is a DVC member with the designation on your old card the new one will also have it.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I'm glad to hear it is not a difficult process. I remember I set up the auto payments directly through Chase..now to see if I can log into my Allstate account once I upgrade (can't remember log ins..lol)

My upgrade was activated and my 5% bonus went into effect on 2/1. My billing statement shows I earned $148.58 Disney Rewards for that 30 day cycle. I moved all of my everday spending from another card to this one and fully took advantage of the 5% catagories! :lovestruc I haven't even put my Disney Vacation package on it yet! For our family, the upgrade works!:goodvibes Chase is probably regretting our credit limit!

Anyone else find themselves not too upset going to the more expensive gas stations since you know you are earning 5%? ;)

Okay, I have some questions.

I upgraded online on 2/27, my cycle ended on 2/28. I just checked my account online and I have the Premier and 2% verbage under reward details, so I'm guessing I've been upgraded. There's no mention of the 5%.

1. Why do I have 8 extra rewards dollars? (not complaining :))
2. Should I be seeing some wording under rewards details about the 5% now, or will that come when it cycles again on the 28th?

I'm so excited about this upgrade! We're going to Disney in May and cruising in December, so I'm definitely going to need the extra rewards $$!

You have the rewards dollars that had built up this cycle before the switch to premiere.

You won't see any mention of the 5% until you get your first statement after upgrading and you will see a line for it in your rewards summary.

I just did the upgrade. I do all my gas and groceries on our Disney Visa, so it totally makes sense for us.

Can't wait to start earning extra points!

I just got my first full statement since upgrading an earned an extra $66 in rewards. Next month should be better with a cruise coming up soon. :)

Ahhh, okay that makes perfect sense! Thanks!:thumbsup2

Caroline, I was just coming to ask the same thing. I also don't see the 5% bonus I'm supposed to be getting for 90 days. Unless like you said it starts this billing cycle. Mine JUST ended and I had upgraded only about 4 days before it ended.

I know someone said it will be on the statement but I am looking at my statement that just ended March 3 or whatever and the only bonus rewards there are the 2% and it's broken down into the 3 categories. There is nothing re: 5%.
