Hello everyone,

My fiance and I first posted here almost 5 years ago about our engagement. Since then we've graduated from college, I've gone to law school, and am about to graduate from there as well. :cool1:

Anyway, sorry about the lack of a planning journal and everything, we'll try to start adding things ASAP.

We're getting married September 13th, and about to send out the save the dates, and probably invitations in May or so, but everyone knows about this wedding anyway because like I said, we've been engaged for almost 5 years.

So I was looking for any advice about our planning trip and what we should expect/ask.

Our planners are:

Carol Mikles and Sarah Holder, has anyone had them and what do you think?

We're doing a Wishes wedding for 140 people with:

Wedding Pavilion
Pre ceremony Reception at the GF
Grand Floridian Salon for reception
And the Marina in the back for the desert party.

We're also meeting with Randy Chapman, so any advice there would be appreciated.

Our plans for the week are:

2nd-Harry Potter Theme Park
3rd-Magic Kingdom
4th-Randy Meeting in the morning Epcot/HWS
5th-Planning Session day, Menu Testing session with the chef, may try to do something in the parks that evening if we can.
6th-Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom for Be Our Guest reservations.

Thanks for any advice!

Congrats on finally getting to plan! :)

I didn't have either of your planners, we had a wishes wedding for 75 people at the Beach Club/ BW, but the planning sessions are pretty standard :) You will go over the vibe you are looking to have, including any themes or colors you have picked, show them tons of your ideas and how you envision your day, pick out table linens and possible decor, flowers based on the pictures you bring etc. Then a tasting (they will send you a pre-planning kit to fill out where you choose which foods you want to taste), and a cake tasting. We started at Franck's, went over to the BW for our tasting and snuck int to see our reception room, then went back to Franck's to meet with floral and do our cake tasting. Some girls have the day in different order but it's pretty standard.

I noticed you said day 2 you are planning to go to the Harry Potter theme park - that is at Universal, not Disney. Just so you don't keep looking for it in Disney and not find it :goodvibes

You could also maybe meet with officiant's while you're there, or other photographers to see who you like best? Enjoy!
