I love this one, it's pretty funny. I guess your getting soaked no matter which seat you are in!!! :rotfl2:

I love that second one quiltymom! That's a great picture. Morocco is such a neat pavillion - one of my favorites. | Good one NikkiLovesWDW! I think you've got the edge... I'd pick you up over those other creeps ;) | Love the rain shots everyone :thumbsup2 I've only been there when it rained one time at MK first thing in the morning (rope drop) for about ten minutes. It was definitely a different atmosphere... | Great pics lovesdumbo :thumbsup2 | Very nice GoofyBaby!

:rotfl: Joe you can not post after my pics anymore!!!
Beautiful!
Sorry :sad1: I won't do it again. But thanks for the compliment! (Loved your's as well)

You absolutely MUST get up there for sure. Your pictures are always amazing! I would love to see what you would capture.
Thanks! And I'll have to remember to bring my tri-pod just in case.

Joe, et al, thanks for all the advice on the new camera and MPs and digital vs. optical zoom and all that jazz. You are so kind to take the time to help me out! :goodvibes
No problem, I'm glad I could help!

I thought I was bad. You take pics of pretty much everything don't you... :thumbsup2. Work for me. If I took any more pics on my vacations, my DW would hang me. :cool2:

Yeah, that is pretty much the case. Since going digital, I do shoot "everything", although a lot of them are throwaways. This Primeval Hurl shot is a good example of that; I shot a couple dozen and only got one or two that were even decent, this being one of them. Neither was exactly what I was hoping for, though. Mrs. YEKCIM, also known as Commando Mom, does not have much patience with my photographic pursuits, which is probably a good thing, as we would never get to ride anything if I was allowed to shoot at my leisure. Most of my 07/07 stuff was shot on-the-run, but I did the best I could under the circumstances. My goal was to have about 18 months' worth of POTD material, since it's doubtful I'll be going back to WDW before 12/08, if then. I'd LOVE to have a day to just wander a park with camera in hand and really "explore" the photo op's. Doubt that will happen anytime soon, but I can dream!

I hope you don't mind... I don't usually do this in fear that the OP would be offended, but I just had to with this picture... it's such an awesome picture. I'd be hanging the full size version on the wall if I were you.

But any way, I doctored your pic up (I thought it was just a touch washed out) with a few clicks on Picassa:

Yeah, I feel your pain. We'll be walking through the parks and I'll stop as something caught my eye for a photo op. I look over and the DW is giving me "the look", you prbably know what I am talking about. :scared:

Digital is awesome as you can shoot as much and as often as you want. You never know when you'll catch an awesome shot. All and all, I came you with about 800 shots from our May vacation, so I guess I can't complain too much. :rolleyes1

Joe that made such a huge difference!!!!

I agree, it would make a beautiful Wall Mural for my den.

Of course I would take most of the pics here, and have them plastered all over my house if I could;)

Who needs paint?

I really like how the colors are more clear and vibrant. Nice job. What did you use to doctor that photo? Picassa? What is that?

I may have missed it, but where do you get those WDW borders that are on some of your pics?

Joe,

Amazing what a difference just a little tweak, like the "Magic Auto Contrast" button in Picasa can do, isn't it? I know it won't do everything that Photoshop and some other editing software will do, but it's quick, it's easy to use, and it gives pretty dang good results. Even the "Magic Auto Color" button does a great job of correcting color balance, IMO. I also have Paint Shop Pro X, but it's cumbersome and honestly does not do as well as Picasa in some areas. To be fair, PSP does do several things very well that Picasa does not do at all, but I'm sure that future updates will address some of those issues.

Oh, and btw, for anyone else reading this, it's a FREE DOWNLOAD. If you are shooting digital and not using anything to edit your photos, you owe it to yourself to at least TRY Picasa. You'll be amazed at the difference it can make. If you don't believe me, just look at what Joe did to the MK/Monorail shot above.

Yes, what he said ^

Literally, that took 10 seconds. I pushed two buttons and saved the picture. It's so easy, Picassa, almost too easy :) ...

Beautiful shot, Joe. You can't POSSIBLY ride rides or see shows; you MUST spend your time photographing instead of riding!

Thanks for sharing another great keeper.

LOL I love the rides more than anything... Actually this shot was taken after hours on my solo trip. I spent a good 45 minutes or so snapping night shots while everyone was filing out. Finally they gave me the boot. But not before I snuck in a few more of Spaceship Earth just before leaving through the gates. I thought the CM's were going to kill me. Oh the looks I got that night :rotfl: ...

Were the German Shepherds snapping at your heels as you headed for the gate?
