...and to boot--I can't believe I was in the North GA mountains yesterday at Amicalola Falls, and I didn't know all this! Dang!

Looks like I'll have to make another trip! Thanks Code for the tips. I've never been able to get that silky a picture with water.

Honestly, I thought you had touched it up somehow with one of the PP programs because it just doesn't look real.

thank you for the "short course" on silky water!! - Back to camera basics 101 for me!! I "ditto" everything Dcanoli says above! I plan to print it out on little index cards and put them on a key chain in my camera bag - sort of a mini "how to" book for when I'm out alone playing! (like that happens often!) I probably should do the same with several other "how to" subjects - low light, fireworks, etc. Thanks again, that photo in the Poly is stunning!!

I don't have a clue what it is, either, but saw it outside, while in the POTC queue, back in July and thought it might make an interesting shot. Glad you liked it. I'm honored to have made the Top 5. Where is the link to the first, second, and third place prizes??
