How do you go about doing this? Where do you have to go in order to get one? Also does anyone know what the cost is? I would apprecaite any info as this is our first trip and if the price is right I would like to do this as I'm sure some of there pictures will be much better then our and there will also be pictures that we may not have

You can get a photopass from any of the Disney photographers that are taking pictures in the park. Once you have one you just give it to the photographer before he/she takes your pic. It doesn't cost any extra for the photopass, just the photos. You can buy a CD with all the pictures taken during your trip for $99, or you can choose to buy individual pictures at a starting cost of, I believe, $12.95 for a 5x7. Disney photographers will also take a photo for you with your camera.

check out www.Disneyphotopass.com

When walking around the parks, photographers will ask if you want you pic taken. If so, they will give you a photopass. It is good at all parks. Whenever you get your pic taken by a WDW photographer, you give them the pass and the pic is recorded on the card. The amount of pics is unlimited. You can then view them at selected photo shops or online when you get home. Check out the above link for more info. Btw, the pics are kind of pricey.........Jim

Thanks for this info as I appreciate it as this is our first trip and I figured the CD would probably be worth it as if there is a picture we like would we not be able to print it ourselves?

you can also get a great dvd made up for $49 which is a great keep sake of your first trip we did and it is really great.the dvd has four different parks in it and you put your pics where you want them and disney adds alot of stuff to the dvd great music and all the gang goofy, donald mickey and so on will be in it you will not regret getting it. just go into one of the photopass shops where you can see your pics and ask about the dvd .if you order the cd for $99. all you are paying for is the rights to your pics you will still have to get them printed off. with the dvd you are able to pick the pics you want and
put them where you want on the dvd. our freinds could not believe that we
got this dvd for that price so ask for it you will love it.

lol i should tell you that the dvd is like a movie with you in it with all the gang they will walk into your pic and just like you are in a cartoon with them it is really nice

Is there a time limit for the DVD like there is with the photopass cd?? I have my photopass cd but haven't sat down to do the dvd and am hoping that it doesn't expire after 30 days.

I believe that once you upload photos to create the DVD, they are only there for 30 days. Since you are uploading the photos yourself you can probably do it at anytime, although if you want to include some photopass pictures in your DVD you'll have to do it in the 30 days in which your photopass photos are available.

We just got our DVD from our October trip last week. It's great - I would highly recommend them!

When we went in October 05 we had them take our pictures at every park. Gave them our card so that they all be on one acct.. Thank goodness we also had them taken with our own camera (which they will do if you ask), because we had pictures of us from 1 or 2 parks then all the others were from some other persons family. :confused3 .

So take a backup with your camera.. and besides.. saves lots of money to spend on other souvinears..(I know I spelled wrong.. but I put ears in it :rotfl: )

and to find out what a ton of other people have said about the photopass, you can go to the search area on the disboards, and type in 'photopass'... a TON of information will pop up since someone is always asking a question about it! I also like the idea of going to their website! either way, you're guarenteed to find a ton of information.

good luck!

We didn't buy a Photopass CD, but we did get our pics taken most everytime we saw a photographer and it still only added up to 67 pictures in 6 days. I don't think for us it would have been a great value, plus you always want to take lots of pictures of shows and rides and "things" everywhere. I will say we did buy 2 5x7s off the card online, and the quality was great! You can personalize online with a year or pic of the castle in the corner of the picture.

It is worth hanging onto your Photopass card and letting them take your picture because you never know when a great family shot will come up that would be worth 12.95, and you never know when your camera battery will go dead (like ours did in line at Ariel's Grotto. Yikes!) But take your own camera, too, and then you can see if what ended up on your Photopass is worth $99 to get them all put on CD.
