I have heard that there are Disney Outlet Stores in the Orlando area. I have never been and would like to check them out.

Where are the Disney Outlets located?
Are they worth checking out?
Do they have Disney merchandise from the parks and resorts like property control?

Thanks in advance

I haven't been there yet but am planning to go on this trip. You can go to their website www.belz.com and find a list of all the stores. The ones that sell Disney merchandise are Character warehouse and charater premier. I heard that they have things half the price of the parks. Will know for sure after my trip this Oct.

Have always had good luck with the outlets in the Belz Mall. There is one somewhere closer to WDW that was okay but not quite as good as the 2 at Belz.

I have listed these nearest to WDW to futher away from WDW.
We likes the Bargins at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores Character Corner stores but the selection was greater at Belz Factory Outlet World. But I would visit them all again!!

we went a few years ago ,on the recommendation of a friend, to one I was told was the best. in was in a large mall with 2 "sections" , from what I remember expensive stores in one part, less expensive in another and it was in the back of the mall I think at the farthest end and I was told it was the Belz outlet( I have discribed this in case it wasn't) It was lousy. cheap stuff that was real disney stuff but just inferior. we bought a few items that fell apart close to immedately and nothing there was anything current to any of the stores at disney. the labels said disney world on them but I can not stress how crummy the stuff was and out of date ( like I'm sure they have the old tomorrow land mission to mars stuff there still:)) I guess you could buy gifts for those at home since they wouldn't know the difference but I was sorry we planned on getting most of our stuff there and went late in the trip. If we were at the wrong place please correct me! Thanks!

OP- don't want you to be disappointed- but they sell older merchandise than what is sold in the parks. We always go to the outlet stores and find some good stuff- older t-shirts (summer of 02 we bought 1999 tshirts). I have gotten picture frames, photo albums, children's clothes, even luggage- never been disappointed. I just came back from the outlet in Sawgrass Mall in Ft. Lauderdale and found their items to be priced slightly higher- but still got a couple of good deals, such as a baby photo album for $1.99 and scrapbook kit for $.99 couple of pretty rings for $13.99. Definitely worth stopping by.

I know that what we bought at Belz and LBVFS is still going strong!! I bought $30.00 2000 T shirts for $4.99 in 2001 and I am still wearing them most weekends. They wash and Dry and wear Great!!! We bought errings, sweat pants, T tops, autogragh books and pens, AK tin. We bought only 2 trading pins at Belz for $3.99. At LVB we bought 6 trading pins for $1.99 each!! I got my Favorite T shirt for $4.99 it's MK fireworks over the castle with Mickey and friends!!!

. . . that's located right off I-95. The past couple years we've stayed until the parks closed, then drove an hour or so. The next morning, we stop at Belz as our last little piece of Disney World. Last year, it was wonderful -- lots of current stuff. This year, not as good, but still fun.

i hadn't thought of it but I wonder if our lack of durable purchases had something to do with their age...maybe it was already "aged" when we got it. don't know but really wonder if this is the place we went. usually I love a good bargain but the place we went was 1/2 there: bargain just not good. can anyone discribe anything around the Belz mall. I know we went on the free way outside of WDW , think north and turned right, there were 2 distinct shopping malls one in front of the other. and the disney store was in the second mall. tons of hotels and restaraunts around. I am thinking it was kind of by Universal but not positive about that ( I think we went on the same day) and someone said there are 2 D. stores ...in the same Belz mall?

Sounds like Belz to me. Sorry you had a bad experience- Over my last 7 or 8 visits we have found it to be a good place to buy generic souvenirs (no dates or special events) for family and friends and have never been disppointed. It is usually not the same as what is being shown in the parks at that time but who cares when the price is usually less than half. Tryiing to figure out when in our next trip to fit it in. Sometimes we bought a lot and sometimes only a couple of things depending on what the mood was at the time but have never had the problems you describe. Was the one you went to next to the food court ?- if so then it was Belz.

If you visit the Outlet closest to DW, don't judge the others by that one. I probably wouldn't have traveled the distance to the others if I had visited the close one first, because it is NOT anywhere in the ballpark, in my opinion.

The other two are great . They do have dated items, but they also have many, many items that aren't dated. I buy many christmas presents there. Give them a try and enjoy.

no from what I remember this was kind of off by itself . way in the back and the whole mall area back there was kind of dark and seemed a little seedy, the store itself was kind of dirty looking, like a really bad dollar store that hadn't been cleaned in a really long time. I don't know how to describe it but just not someplace you really wanted to touch anything much less buy anything! I've been to a couple BElz outlets in other areas of the country and while I didn't think some of the stores had super great bargins ( just like other outlet stores) they weren't this yucky so I may try it again this trip .either they have improved a lot ( this was about 6 yrs ago) or we were in the wrong place. ( hopefully!) Thanks

I spent 4 days at World a couple of weeks ago and didn't do the parks -- I just shopped and shopped and shopped. I would highly recommend not taking the time to go to Lake Buena Vista outlets -- lousy (I got caught in a rainstorm and spent over an hour at the store, yuck!) The 2 at Belz are great and the Premium outlet was better than I ever saw it -- I got a pair of Minnie pajamas that I had wanted for the past year for $11, the original price was $54. If you go to Belz, visit both stores, the merchandise can be different.

well I have no idea where we were but from the picture and map on website it wasn't there! so if any one sees another mall with one in front of the other ....do not go! especially would have remembered a carousel (not that much a of an airhead I don't think :)) but will go this trip...now when to fit it in is another story. about how far is it from wdw 30 mins or so??

Thanks
