Disney+ Offer?

I booked this for April. 4 guests one stateroom oceanview. The full fare for 2 is 1,284.00 guest 3 & 4 are $716. Fine print says "Excludes taxes, fees and port expenses of approximately $89–$202 per person depending on the itinerary selected (all amounts subject to change)." but I'm still not sure how we got from "free" to $716...

It is an annoying aspect of cruise pricing. But Disney actually shows you the total price (fare + taxes) when searching through your options.

The other cruise lines hook you in with lower pricing, only to see the price jump after you select your room.

Of course, most of the time, a Disney cruise is going to cost more.

Hey, you got a Disney cruise for less money. Doesn’t happen all the time. The real savers are those whose 3 &4 passengers are adult fares. They do offer kids sail free every now and then. Or at least used to.

Silly question - it says it's only Valid for US / Canadian residents, however when I try and book it seems to be showing / allowing me to select these cheaper rates.

I'm currently on the Bermuda 8 night cruise from Port Canaveral next year, i've been trying to call up to see if they will apply it - does anyone know of a non resident that has had success this way either booking online or calling up and having it changed? I'm a Disney+ subscriber in Australia, not sure why it couldn't be extended to me? Lord knows i'm paying a LOT to get there and with the exchange rate.... a $1600USD discount is HUGE!

I know… I would just pull them out of school but my husband is in the “no missing school” camp. Alas.
when my kids ask me what I would have done differently, I always say I would take them out of school more
we have 4 kids ages 18-24, we would sail over Feb break or xmas always one of the most expensive times
looking back there is nothing like having every dinner together for a week, without somone having to be somewhere, no phone interuptions etc, kids could do what they wanted while on ship, we do excursions together, but once back on ship, it's their time until dinner

after the past 2 yrs, of not going on vacation? and all the other life interuptions
take the kids out of school, this deal is amazing
you never know what can happen

btw, this past Dec 24th, we were denied boarding on the first leg of B2B b/c somene in our party tested positive, never saw a 24yo(not the one who tested positive) so upset crying b/c we were at port and could not get on the ship, would of been our first vacation in 2yrs
they all still luv DCL, its just diff once they can't go in the kids clubs, it also becomes more expensive keeping up with bar tabs! Now we have other logistics to plan around colleges & jobs
Go for it, maybe they can do some work remotely ?

Was this only a one day special offer? I haven't even been able to get past the sign-in.

It would be a nice savings, but we usually do 2 rooms anyway, so savings but cramped in to one room instead of two. Not even sure DH will go for it. He likes his (balcony) space.

It is a huge savings! We are paying close to what we paid for virtually the same sailing/ship in 2011, with a slightly better room category this time. I hope for the sake of the employee who came up with it, it results in significant new bookings for Disney and not just repricing. They must have seen something really troubling in their projected bookings. Either that, or decided it was time to create more buzz around the cruise line now that the Wish's publicity is slowing and they are trying to get things back to normal. I hope it works.

Update: After 5.5 hours of Disney hold music, I was finally successful. I talked to a fantastic agent who was able to make the switch to the existing reservations, and the savings was indeed $2,600! I am so glad you told me to book the dummy cruise, because I would have had to deal with canceling a real booking now and waiting to get my deposit back. That worked out really well and took the stress out of waiting the last hour or so. Thanks!
Hmmm... My inner nerd made me do the math.

$2600 for 5.5 hours, works out to $472.73 per hour.
Good job! I'd say that was worth your time! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

We took our kids out at least once per year. Most families did in our town and it didn't become difficult until HS.

My older son's 2nd grade teacher told all the parents at back to school night, "Missing a week of 2nd grade is not going to ruin your child's future or stop him/her from getting into Harvard. If you get the chance to go to Disney World, go!"

:worship:

With that, I wanted to give her a standing ovation. Sadly, I would have been the only one standing. Sigh...

Wondering this as well.
Sometimes when booking through a US travel agent we can get the US offers. Not sure if this is the case here.

FWIW, I had given up on booking yesterday afternoon. The cruise I wanted was not coming up on the website and I spent hours in the 7 Dwarves error message hell. But last night at 11:15 pm, I checked again just as I was going to bed, and there it was! A 7-night on the Fantasy that coincides with our spring break! I booked it quickly before the website could give me any problems and got the confirmation email when I woke up this morning. Things (understandably) seem to be very fluid with this offer, so keep checking if you didn’t see what you wanted yesterday!

Hey I am wondering this also, I am an Aussie and actually booked the promotion today on the website, it asked for my residency details etc and just let me book it. I will call to verify I guess but hopefully it’s ok!

I would definitely NOT call to verify, but that's just me.

Were you able to correct the name for the main passenger? I have the same issue. I have a booking, but was unable to modify the main person's name to match government ID, i.e., unable to add middle name. But I was able to add middle names to the other 3 passengers.

And if you were able to correct it, what did you have to do?
I had the same issue so my middle initial is missing. Hopefully we can fix it later?

I couldn’t get through all day and when I finally was able to get in last night, the price of the cruise we were looking at (7 night on the Fantasy during spring break) had nearly doubled, so that plan is off.

This is exactly what happened to us too. Jan 07 Cruise Eastern would appear and disappear over the course of a few minutes and the not appear again for another 30 minutes. It was the strangest thing... and now I can't get connected to Disney to confirm my promotion. I have to work with Costco travel which makes it even harder...

I noticed the January 7 Fantasy cruise disappearing and reappearing yesterday too. It is back for me now. I thought perhaps it was selling out, but there are still many rooms available (though Inside is showing unavailable) and it doesn't look like prices for Category 4 have gone up.

I was booking this through Costco travel and stateroom availability was weird too. Lots of rooms showing on the Disney page on Deck 9 but Costco did not see any of them as available. We have our room booked... just trying to get the Disney+ promotion added now. Never see a cruise pop up and the vanish like that, and it happened on and off for hours.

I have been trying to get Costco travel to work with me two days now. They keep quoting what their supervisor told them. They want me to cancel and rebook. NO. They don't want to call DCL because they can't get through/the wait time is to long. They have told me my cruise isn't part of it because the blackout period is Jan 1 to March 31. NO, that is wrong. They have even told me my ship isn't in the offer. It's the Fantasy, yes it is.
Never had issues with Costco travel before but it seems that they have a ton of new agents who keep having to refer to their supervisor and the supervisor has no idea what the program is. I think this will be a last time with them.
I have resigned myself to not getting this offer but that's okay. We are going on a DCL cruise with the entire family so I'm happy.
