That's cool. I hadn't realized that BlueSky did The Peanuts Movie. They really need to get all of the BlueSky portfolio on D+ now that they own it.
Until the Blue Sky agreement with HBO ends, their movies will continue to cycle on and off of Disney+. I’m not sure when that is, I’ve read 2021 but never seen an actual source.

And I'm not sure that's the only one. Ice Age is currently on Starz and Rio is on HBO.

I think the first Ice Age is on D+ now - or at least there is a thumbnail for it. It might be one of those ones that says "Coming on X date." It would be nice to get their catalog there. I think Disney really needs to work on tehir identity and help them stand out as their own thing along DAS and Pixar. Also, it would be cool to see the original Disney Ferdinand the Bull short then also the Blue Sky version side by side - nice little synergy there.

They should keep those terrible Fox X-Men movies off the service - they are damaging to the Marvel brand. I was surprised to see the recent Fantastic Four moive on there. These movies should all at least carry content warnings: "This movie is egregiously bad - Not Part of the MCU."

X-Men (2000) and X-Men Days of Future Past are excellent movies. And Fantastic Four (2005) isnt terrible. Its a fine adaptation of the comics. Its not MCU quality, but its fine. FF(2015), The Wolverine, and X-Men- Apocalypse are all terrible

I was referring to FF 2015 as the terrible one. The earlier ones are just okay, but don't hold up that well.

Personally I couldn't stand Days of Future Past - it didn't even have it's own internal logic. That was the movie that destroyed the franchise to me and I haven't actually watched any others. I liked the original okay, disliked 2 for the most part, 3 was better but had problems - but none of them age well. In light of MCU movies they're just...not good. I do think First Class is actually a very good movie, but they couldn't continue with Matthew Vaughn and it all suffered greatly. Overall though the franchise is just a mess and not worth salvaging, continuing, or even going back to watch.

The X-Men series has very inconsistent quality but I'd say a few of them are actually better than a few of the MCU films. The MCU as a whole is miles ahead of the X-Men series. However, I'd say X2, First Class, and Days of Future Past are better than Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor 2, and possibly the first Thor (it's a good movie in its own right but find it kind of dull overall).

In its time X2 was the best movie I'd ever seen and Days of Future Past and Logan (spoiler: not coming to Disney+, ever) were up there too. X2 doesn't hold up perfectly, but at the time I was blown away. The big difference is that series as a whole makes absolutely no sense at all (the timeline taken together is impossible) and unlike phases 1-4 of the MCU was never intended to, but I agree that it has some of the best movies. I bought the first 7 in a package deal from Vudu for $27 but I'm looking forward to the newer ones coming to D+ or Hulu eventually.

I have never understood the love for X2. It's too long and bloated and just meanders on about nothing. The first X-Men, while not perfect was at least a tight 90 minutes or so and enjoyable for what it was, even if that wsn't a prime example of the X-Men. From there they only got worse until First Class which is a great film, though it uses the wrong characters - it should have just been a reboot and used the real original 5 X-Men. The Fox X-Men movies also totally ruined the X-Men comics to the point that they are currently unsalvageable.

I get what he is saying somewhat. He loves the cast soundtrack but hasn't seen it live so he was expecting more of a theater like experience. For a theater like experience, the camera would need to be in the balcony and it would just be a HD version of the bootlegs you find out Youtube.

Thats exactly my feelings. This wasnt supposed to be a replacement for Hamilton, its supposed to be an enhanced alternative experience. If they were to just show you the play from the straight-forward POV, what would be the motivation for people to go see it? Some still would, but because of the price of the tickets to see it live, some people would just be fine with this version.

I also dont know if Disney, or any other entertainment company would pay the price it sold for, for video you could probably find online

Need all of the studio ghibli movies on Disney + !
See that they were on netflix, but not in U.S.

In other news, might be in the minority, but thoroughly enjoying the making of "Frozen II " episodes - (although not too sure I would want to work for Jen Lee- lol)

In the US they are part of the new HBO MAX service. Disney lost (gave up?) the rights to the Ghibli films a few years back. HBO MAX is using Disney's redubbings for the movies that previously had a Fox dub like Totoro.

Correct. Disney once had distribution rights, but not anymore. They are handled independently by GKIDS in the US now, but rights may be different in other countries.

Thanks for this !! Would gladly settle for the redub on Disney+ ! 😃

My most cherished dvd/blu-ray collection ! Those movies always amaze me !
