Nope, because these mini events sell like hot cakes. There's no reason for the big parties with all the expense that involves when you can sell lesser events for more money.
In years past, the MVMCP Christmas parade and fireworks were done during regular hours the week after Christmas, up through Dec 29. I've gone for NYE 3 times, and each time we've gone to MK on the 29th to see the Christmas parade and fireworks. The only difference in the parade was that it took place at 3pm, where the party parade (obviously) took place at night. Same exact parade though. It was fun to catch the Christmas parade and fireworks for "free" between Christmas and New Year. I love the Christmas parade, but honestly, I was not very impressed with Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. That's probably because: A. Christmas was over, and B. the NYE show Fantasy in the Sky is so good that anything else pales by comparison. In any case, I wonder if Disney will be doing the Christmas parade and fireworks at the MK for "free" in the week between Christmas and New Year as they usually do?But they can't bring back the parade during regular hours.....someone explain to me again those reasons about staff shortages and safety excuses. Guess if you want to see a parade, you're going to pay extra for it.

Are we sure these make more money? I know they’re making a killing with this, but from ticket sales alone I feel like the parties make more money. I went to the first party in 2019 and paid 79 a ticket before tax (I think) and I attended the first boo bash and paid 139. I feel like, at minimum, there were 3x the people, but even 4x or more wouldn’t surprise me. It was unbelievably crowded. The lines were insane. And now that the Xmas after hours has to shell out the cash for fireworks and a parade and all the free drinks/ice cream etc, I’m not sure it will make MORE money than a party.

These tickets are double the price. Less people going but they are paying more than double some nights. There is less staff too and lower operational costs. Disney will do what makes them the most money.
Didn't MVMCP also have meet and greets that the AH events won't have? I know that's true for Halloween. While one can argue they didn't have time to plan out a full Halloween party, there is no reason they couldn't have done a full blown Christmas party. There is NO argument to be made they couldn't do for safety reasons. One night of being in the hub for HEA proves there is no concern for safety as far as crowd levels go with Disney. You can bet they took a look at operational costs, the willingness of guests to pay any price for anything and saw an opportunity to ditch the high production, relatively low ticket price events and replace them. There's a reason we aren't seeing MVMCP this year and it's because this one turns a higher profit.

lol. I remember seeing MK dessert party for around $30 and thinking "Who's gonna spend that for dessert?"OMG I remember many years ago when Christmas parties first began it was $25! I remember they took family photos and it was included!

Nope. Probably still waiting for enough staff. That was the word on the street from a retired CM who worked the parties. This was about a month ago. They kind of need to get some other stuff up still first, like restaurants and shows. However, those may be different staffing needs.Any info available for the return of dessert parties?![]()
