I think we’re gonna need bigger glasses
There's so much to do in WDW that even with the changes we can still fill an entire trip with fun.a co worker of mine was there last week. He said he missed some things - a lot of stores still closed, characters, merchandise carts. But that he and his family had a great time.
I took your complaining about lack of FPs five times a week as a cry for help. I felt it was my duty to let you know you have alternatives.Probably best if you just don’t concern yourself with my trip. I really haven’t asked for your advice.
I'm sorry you feel this way. We have had 2 great trips without FP+. We found that it was much easier to tour around without having to constantly watch the time and our phones. We were able to ride everything we wanted and found that the posted wait times were pretty inaccurate. I think we only had one wait time that wasn't significantly shorter than what was listed.I know! Isn’t it great? We can spend 7k and just skip all the headliners that are running an hour or more. I can practically smell the pixie dust it’s so magical. Or you know, Disney could give their guests a way around the lines in the summer heat.
More than FP, I want the rest of the shows and parades .. .the things that handle large number of people, to open. Mostly because I enjoy them, but also because it should help disperse people.
yes this is the real issue. If everything was open lines wouldn't be so bad.More than FP, I want the rest of the shows and parades .. .the things that handle large number of people, to open. Mostly because I enjoy them, but also because it should help disperse people.
Wine? Or whine?oooh baby! everyone, have some wine!![]()
Unless you are one of the 100s of people there right at 7am, there is no way of getting on FOP with less than a 30 minute wait and there is 0 chance right now of riding it twice. Everyone is rope-dropping that ride. We arrived to the FOP line at 7:30 last week and were quite a ways back. It only took an hour for us to get through the queue. It was at least 2 hours once the park was actually open. We got to ride in “less“ time than the average posted waits last week but I’d rather not get up before the sun on vacation. FP would have taken 15 minutes and we could have slept a lot later.Suggestion: rope drop and/or ride headliners at park close. You won't have to wait much >30 minutes if you strategize.
I do imagine most people who hop into the FoP line between 12-3pm are going to be relatively unhappy. However, what a ride that is...
Honestly, FOP is a ride you can skip if you've done it once or twice before. I feel like if you RP Everest, maybe ride it twice, then Kilimanjaro Safaris, then Dinosaur, you'd be all set.Unless you are one of the 100s of people there right at 7am, there is no way of getting on FOP with less than a 30 minute wait and there is 0 chance right now of riding it twice. I think FOP is probably the best ride in Disneyworld. I won’t do Everest, although my family will. Yes, you could knock out all those other rides at AK at rope drop if you avoid FOP, and if Everest isn’t down for at least the first hour which it was on the day we went. Rides were down every single day at rope drop while we were there. And you have no way of knowing they won’t open until after you’ve arrived at the queue-so there goes any rope drop strategy/advantage.Honestly, FOP is a ride you can skip if you've done it once or twice before. It sometimes depends on your group. I think FOP is very advanced since the rest of AK is lackluster for thrills besides Dinosaur and Everest, but it's definitely a hit or miss. You have to be there right at rope drop to get on, otherwise, you'll wait hours. It's not worth waiting 2+ hours.I think FOP is probably the best ride in Disneyworld. Yes! We were that all week & it is ridiculously crowded. Most things were an hour wait or more at MK today. And with the fireworks now, wait times don’t subside in the evenings like they had been. And don’t even think about going if you have any concerns about Covid. It’s as crowded as I’ve ever seen it.How the heck do they think it’s OK to just keep adding capacity without bringing back FP and more attractions, shows, and dining?
Where are all these people going to go? How long can standby lines get before there is a revolt?
