Kinda slow around here, so I thought I’d share that Disneyland has been testing some sort of drone show off site for several nights in a row.

Drones are probably cheaper over time, and they solve some of the noise and pollution issues Disneyland fireworks have with the neighbors.

I agree. I have liked Disney's drone shows in Paris. They were a nice enhancement but not a replacement to fireworks

Much as I love fireworks (and I REALLY love fireworks) their days are numbered I fear. They're loud, smelly, bad for the environment, expensive (hello tariffs?), and dangerous. Drones aren't without their own issues, but the backlash against fireworks and bans that have been slowly rolling out over my lifetime make me wonder if they'll even be an annual thing for 4th of July in a few decades.

It would be cool if they turned the star wars hotel/complex into a haunted mansion-esque theme.

Basically Disney keeps that info close to the chest. I did stumble across this blog that seems to have more information though I can't vouch for the validity of it: Two Disney Sisters: Disney Parks Magical Celebration

They claim the holiday parade’s co-host this year is Alfonso Ribeiro. He is the current host of ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos, and is also the host of Dancing with the Stars alongside holiday parade co-host Julianne Hough.
