That's great!!!! Such a little thing but it makes me very happy lolBlue Flag Launch between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness and Contemporary to resume on Sunday!!!
FUN! I found mine too. I only wish there was a way to add something for my off site stay that is sooner. More MDE users stay offsite than on, be nice to have a way to add it.Cool. You need to click on Resort Hotel...mine is there!

I cannot tell you how happy I am about this!!! Love to hop over to Geyser point!!!Blue Flag Launch between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness and Contemporary to resume on Sunday!!!
Okay, an update: I found out from WDWMagic that it was a press event/preview that didn't have the short play in front of Wish. The short would play in front of Wish when said film opens to the public on November 22nd. Sorry about that.
WDW isn't short on good entertainment because they lacked the right creative head. They are short on entertainment because they feel they don't have to invest in it for that resort. I doubt a new person is going to change that. Unless he's bringing big bags of cash with him.Since the Head of Entertainment for DLP (Cannot remember his name) is heading to WDW, the reaction to the final show today just shows that some good entertainment might be on the horizon for WDW??

I agree with the PP, it's not about talent here. It's about what they are choosing to invest on and Disney hasn't been prioritizing that. Epcot used to have a lot of entertainment just to use an example, they chose to let just about all of those contracts go during the pandemic and have chosen to not bring that back really. Parades are so so and they don't have nighttime parade. These aren't about lack of creative direction but conscious decisions to not do them. It may not hurt to have someone newer over at WDW here but I wouldn't give the credit there for revitalizing entertainment at Disney, that's going to 100% be Disney's option to make an investment there.Since the Head of Entertainment for DLP (Cannot remember his name) is heading to WDW, the reaction to the final show today just shows that some good entertainment might be on the horizon for WDW??

Love the optimism. I’m just not there with you. Disney World is going to have to earn back my optimism with some actual results.Whilst the money is key, some of the more recent entertainment offerings have been lackluster, particularly when you compare WDW's 50th to DLP's 30th that started only a few months between each other. Just saying that a new face might just breathe some fresh air into WDW and give some oompth back to WDW entertainment
I think the issue is also WDW is the flagship, they are conservative with their approach to entertainment for a reason. Nostalgia probably has something to do with it.
They have not been that way in the past, in fact it's contradictory to your nostalgia claim. People want entertainment like the past precisely because it brings back those memories of the good days of WDW. For some without it, it loses some of its magic. There are a lot of people who complained loudly when Disney was doing all these cuts during the pandemic, when the 50th celebration was a small cry from what it was promised to be even with the understanding of the pandemic, to what World Showcase used to have from the various pavilions to so much more.they are conservative with their approach to entertainment for a reason.
The lackluster 50th had more to do with the pandemic and its timing. Do you remember the announcements made about the 50th? It was supposed to be HUGE. It had nothing to do with DLP whatsoever.Whilst the money is key, some of the more recent entertainment offerings have been lackluster, particularly when you compare WDW's 50th to DLP's 30th that started only a few months between each other. No, I didn't mean conservative in the amount of entertainment but more as in traditional entertainment. When you look at Mickey Friendship Fair (not sure if that's the official name, the castle stage show). In my opinion that show could have been performed a decade ago as well, maybe two decades ago, without much change. The characters might have been different, but the set up would be the same. That makes no sense to me at all. How is offering less entertainment about nostalgia?
True! Plus honestly the fact that every time they update/change a show all ppl do is complain and campaign for the old one to come back does not help. No, I didn't mean conservative in the amount of entertainment but more as in traditional entertainment. It feels as if they developed one specific idea how shows in WDW/Magic Kingdom can look in the 90s/00s/10s and they didn't bring it up to date with the 2020s yet.
I don't think you would see a show like Shine Brighter, Pirates & Princess show or Jungle Book Jive from Paris in Magic Kingdom.
The only one they might do is the Princess Waltz. It does end with all the princesses happily waltzing with their princes, so not sure if Rachel Zegler approves![]()
