Interactive TVs Coming to Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts Guest Rooms

Availability at additional Walt Disney World Resorts in the future, including Disney's Beach Club Resort Villas.

What's new about this system?
This new, interactive television system will personalize the in-room TV experience by welcoming Guests upon arrival. Guests can also enjoy streaming in their room with complimentary Disney content and connectivity for their personal device to stream their subscribed content (Disney+, Hulu, etc.). Standard channels, park hours, resort amenities and information are also available.

What devices are supported?
Smart phones, tablets and laptops are supported to stream to the TV. Only content from Chromecast-enabled apps (mirroring is not supported) can be sent to the TV.

Will Guests be "logged out" of their accounts (subscription services) upon check-out?
Yes. Guest credentials and Connect My Device pairings will be cleared upon each check-out. Guests will use their personal devices to log into any subscription services, so information is not stored in the system.

New Disney Kart Racing Game ‘Disney Speedstorm’ coming soon!

Gameloft, a leader in the development and publishing of games, is thrilled to announce Disney Speedstorm, a new cross-playable arcade racing experience, unveiled during today’s Nintendo Direct. Players race and battle each other on stunning tracks inspired by Disney and Pixar films, mastering each racer’s unique skills to claim victory. Developed by Gameloft Barcelona, home to the Asphalt series, Disney Speedstorm is slated to launch free-to-play on PC and consoles in 2022.

This is just BEGGING for them to repurpose some of the levels from the Sugar Rush online game Disney made for the first Wreck It Ralph in 2012.

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom on Monday, February 14th should note that Disney Enchantment will be shown at 9pm instead of the typical 8pm showtime. In March, Disney Enchantment will move to a 9pm showtime as the standard showtime due to Daylight Saving.

‘Daredevil,’ ‘Jessica Jones,’ and MORE Marvel Series Will Leave Netflix Soon

Entertainment Weekly has reported that Netflix’s license for the Marvel Defenders series, including shows such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Punisher, and The Defenders, is ending. EW confirmed that these series will leave Netflix as of midnight on March 1st, 2022.

Disney has not yet made any announcements about the future of these shows.

PSA: Disney Enchantment Showtime Pushed Back an Hour Next Monday

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom on Monday, February 14th should note that Disney Enchantment will be shown at 9pm instead of the typical 8pm showtime. In March, Disney Enchantment will move to a 9pm showtime as the standard showtime due to Daylight Saving.

I wonder if it doesn't shift until halfway through March? We're there early March and MDE says park hours are until 8pm and Extra Magic Hours are 8-10. It would be weird to have the fireworks right in the middle of the Extra Magic Hours. It looks like as of March 16, EMH start at 9pm instead of 11. Even at that, you lose a good chunk of EMH if you watch the fireworks and then have to fight the crowds to get out of the hub to the rides.

Magic Kingdom likely to close early on two dates in May as Cast Member Service Celebrations are rescheduled

The 2020 Service Celebration will take place on Tuesday May 3 2022, and the 2021 Service Celebration will take place on May 15 2022. Magic Kingdom park hours are not yet available for those dates, but expect a 4:30pm close for day guests on both dates.

Grandstand Pool Closing For Refurbishment Starting February 14 at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

Guests may see and hear construction noise while this refurbishment is underway, but no work will be performed between dusk and 9:00 a.m.
